Dooney strap length

Am I the only one who has issue with the strap length on Dooney bags? Why do they make them so short? I like a lot of their bags and would probably purchase more if I knew I would be able to comfortably carry the bag over my shoulder. Watching the show, the Dooney lady even seems to have to justify the short length of the straps by stating that the bags have the slouch factor so that the bag can be carried on the shoulder. If you feel you need to mention that, then why not just make the straps longer? Oh, well, I guess it is saving me $$$$!
