Just got back from the Dooney store where I got the medium pocket sac in FVL, the in store exclusive for Sunday. My store had only Tmoro brown. Other Dooney retail stores may or may not have different colors, they weren't sure.

I don't know if this handbag was specially made for the sale, or it's a new FVL treatment, but I wanted to report back. The leather, which is called FVL on the email I got from Dooney, is pebbled, not smooth. And it is not flat like the FVL, it has more of a leather sheen (like portofino, etc).

I looked at several of the samples and the one I picked was very soft, and had a large pebbled grain. The others I looked at had smaller pebbling and weren't as soft (right out of the bag). The tag says $265, which is way below FVL prices for a bag of this size. I could see a few "marks" (like the FVL gets) when I shifted the bag in the light... but there were very few, and not visible unless you looked for them.

Anyway, it's only for today, and only in the Dooney retail stores. Wonder what tomorrow will bring us.
