Different leathers.. what is the difference? Favorites?

Anyone care to educate me on all of Dooney's different choices of leather? I have been poking around on the Dooney site. I have not carried many leather bags, and there are so many different types! I would like to know what the difference is, your favorite types to carry and why they are your favorites.
