D&B Repairs

I found a Medium Valerie in Shadow Sunflower at Marshalls on clearance, but it's missing the little tortoise duck from the front metal plate. I got them to take the price down further and thought I could contact D&B and have it repaired.

Called D&B this morning and they said it would be no problem to repair. Has anyone ever sent in anything to be repaired? I've never done this and just wondering what your experience might have been. They seemed very accommodating on the phone.
