My problem with this very cute style of shoe is that the front is always too big on top of my foot. I could put my whole finger between the top of the shoe and my foot usually. But hope springs eternal as the saying goes, so I'm very tempted. And @Pink123 , I know exactly what you mean when you say "no meat on the bottom of your foot". That's me.
Edited to add that I just ordered. Returns are free so I figured that I have nothing to lose. Fingers crossed!

Thank you @Kachina624 but right upon looking at it changes the shoe and what I am looking for. This is masculine in look and taste., typical and not what I am. Mine are more young woman vibe, where a 20 year old can wear. Thin and feminine. Very thin other than enough padding on bottom.
Thank you for your help.
I found my young women's little closed toe sandals..![]()

@CJC wrote:I just bought this style sandal by Pikolinos. Expensive but made of calf leather and soft as butter on my bunion and hammertoes. IMO there is nothing attractive about senior toes hanging out of open sandals, though I certainly wore them when we lived in Florida. These days I wear only enclosed sandals.
I just found a pair of shoes here (online). But the price and the 'goat skin' turned me off. I agree with your remarks, though!

Im expected to receive the tan cognac today. I try to post a picture which I saw online. Try is the operative word. lol. (and I think I did it - by golly) I did read they are cushioned for orthopedic fit in cushioning whatever that means. I feel they are the lighter tan I am looking for. I wish I could post the young girl in a summer dress showing them on video but I cannot or am not allowed to link here.
And for the lady who asked about height I look at mine sideways. I say at least one half inch in height back. Cushioned let's say.
I can't wait for mine to come today. I love tan and denim, we see.
I vote best shoe for feet a bit off in size and/or bunion,
She even fills out one half of shoe more than the other. We know what that is, lol.

Oh and I got into it a bit with my girlfriend of 25 years. She has awful feet. Crunched up hammertoes, (she is thin too) and a bunion to match on one side.
So I said why are you spending so much money on pedicures when it draws attention to your feet? I hope I did not hurt her feelings (we know each other too long for that nonsense. Now she wants the shoes too.![]()
I love her lots.![]()
Always accentuate the good about your body is my opinion and draw attention to that. We all have wonderful parts that are beautiful.

My cognac sandal just arrived. I wanted to show you how nicely they are packed. Also wrapped in a mesh bag. I pulled out one already. LOL.
Here they are. I find the color very nice. Ok, done.

I love these! Thank you for recommending them @Pink123 ! They remind me of the shoes I loved to wear when I was a carefree twenty-something chasing her dreams in the big city.
I totally agree re: painted toes when one's feet look elderly and decrepit. All my life I took pains to care for and protect my feet. In spite of my efforts my toes now look horrible with crooked hammertoes and bunyons, arthritis and in-grown nails. I've been wearing socks with sandals to mask the ravages of life. We all think that if we get a nice pedigree with painted nails they won't look so bad. But no, it just draws attention to our life-ravaged feet.
The sandals are in my Amazon shopping cart. I promised myself no more sandals this year, but I just may pull the trigger on these.
Thank you!

@AuntMame Hi, Thanks for the lovely story! I am happy you will try a pair but I wanted to mention this. I don't know what shade you are purchasing, is it the cognac or the neutral light beige? The neutral, first picture fit is perfect with plenty of toe room. On the tan cognac it is a bit smaller in size and my big toe is sort of hitting. I'm sure they will stretch a bit but they are definitely smaller. I will not return them but when I get a chance I will find a shoe cobbler and have him put on a 24 hour stretch. It's not all that tight but I think it will get it done to fit perfectly. The velcro straps are great and easy.
I just wanted you to know this. Some people even own shoe stretchers which can be purchased anywhere.
Let me know and good luck! I love both shades but favor the light beige ![]()

Thank you for mentioning the toe sizing issue,@Pink123 . I am considering the Tan Hollow. Maybe I'll order up a 1/2 size. Since the upper is synthetic one would think it would be easy to stretch.
The big toe hitting the top of the shoe is not good. One can develop an ingrown toenail with the repeated wacking while one is walking. Been there done that. One afternoon of walking in a pair of toe-wacking sneaker-maryjanes is all it took to develop two painful bloody toes that took years to heal. At our age one can never be too careful with feet.
Thank you for your advice! ![]()
