Here are your new black ones-

Birkis by Birkenstock Xenia Dynamic Footbed Sandals

Yep, those are my new blacks, Lola. The video presentation makes them look almost graphite in color - - I think I'm going to like them. Smiley Happy

There are many places to buy Birkenstocks besides QVC. And I've been shopping at other retailers that have a much better selection than QVC. So that's where I'll continue to buy my Birkenstocks.

Deeva...that might be true, but not in my area. Even when we were in Orlando last winter I was on a search. There used to be a really great shoe store that carried a great variety of Birks down there but we couldn't find it this year. Don't know if it moved or closed.

I was referring to online shoe stores, not brick and mortar. I've been buying from a couple of online stores for at least fifteen years and never had a problem with the quality of the shoes. But I agree with you benzgirl, the local stores don't carry much of a selection.

At least they're made in Germany.

I was looking at some Birkenstocks today in a store, and noticed that the Papillio's are "licensed by Birkenstock," which sort of tells me they are made in China(?). The (official) Birkenstocks are still made in Germany.

Papillios are still made in Germany. They are my favorites of the Birkenstock lines.

The ones to watch out for are the Betulas; those are made in China.

Oh I see, deeva. I have looked around on-line for Birkies, too. I guess to be honest I wasn't on an all-out, do-or-die search or I probably would have found something before now. I just knew that I wanted to find a new pair of blacks for this season and hadn't found any that I liked until Q had these the other day. I think they look really good with just the three skinny straps and will probably remove that center section.

I like Birkenstocksd.com too for hard to find styles.

I caught a few minutes of the Today show this morning (6/19/14). They were doing a shoe segment, and showed some different styles of Birkenstocks. They said that Birkenstocks are in. Come on QVC, please don't discontinue Birkenstocks! We can get them elsewhere, but, many of us like to see when they are on the air, so you can visualize how they might look on the foot.

So is QVC done with Birkenstocks? Does anyone know if they will be coming back as a regular product?

It seems almost all their current stock is either on clearance or is limited in sizes and/or colors.

I keep posting about this, but seems to no avail.

I miss Birkenstocks!!! It is all I wear all Summer.

I bought at least one pair every year for the last 17 years, but now they're not being offered except for clearance. Why???!! There must be a reason, but I can't imagine it's for lack of sales. I thought they always did well.

I've looked at other sites, but never really found the selection that QVC carried.

Any suggestions for a GOOD variety of different styles and colors??

I haven't found many places where you can buy ones with flowers and the designs you get on QVC.

I won't be buying many anyway. I counted my Birkenstocks about 2 years ago and I had over 100 pair of them.

I know it doesn't sound true, but it is. Most of them are sandals. With my back they are the only shoes I can wear for some reason.

I prefer Zappos for Birkis now. No questions or snotty comments from CS if you need to return them for any reason.
