Like a few others have mentioned, I prefer a tall-ish boot to cover my ankles.   I seem to often get caught up in a vine with thorns that rake across the top of my foot or ankles or step in an ant bed and usually don't notice until they are crawling up my leg.

I'm more for comfort than fashion when it comes to the great outdoors.

Many of the leather Propet shoes are machine washable and could also be hosed off.  Last weekend I order two pairs from Zulily, both white and one being a clog and one a loafer style.  I wear them in my yard which is coarse sand and gravel.  I get it in my shoes if they don't have high sides.

For gardening at camp , plus just when it's muddy or wet I wear sloggers.

I vote for  SLOGGERS!

I have a purple pair with paw prints all over them I bought on the Q.

My Sloggers are great for garden work  and I even wore them to church one time  during a rainy deluge ( parking area was damp grass )

I wear a 6.5 in shoes and I ordered  size 7, they fit just right and are water tight.

Thanks everyone, I did try a pair of sloggers on and a pair of Crocs

and my feet voted for the Crocs.  I liked both but opted for the Crocs since the store that had the Sloggers didn't have a great pattern in stock and I didn't want to send away for them.
