I need a pair of dressy ballet flats for a special event.  I don't wear heels very often anymore.  Does anyone have a brand they like?  I'm not concerned about the price.

FYI:

Go to any website and you will find ballet flats. They are everywhere & have been for years & years & years.

I don't like ballet flats for myself.

Re: BALLET FLATS

[ Edited ]

QVC has some attractive dressy flats. Naturalizer, Taryn Rose and a spiffy pair of black patent leather ones by Vionic. I did a search by "flats".

Also try Macy's and Nordstrom's websites. I've always had good luck there with dress shoes and purses.

I wore short heels to my daughter's wedding and brought along a pair of outlet bronze Chinese Laundry flats for the reception. I received more compliments on the flats than I did on the very expensive mother of the bride silk shantung suit! Go for it.....

I bought 3 pairs (3 different colors) of ballet flats from L L Bean. They were so comfortable and the leather was so pliable. That I literally wore the shoes out. Tried to buy more but   L L Bean no longer carries them.

So I tried 2 pairs of Sam & Libby ballet flats. They were not nearly as comfortable and the leather was a bit stiffer. Wore them once. The Nine West were a bit stiff and tight. So they are just sitting in the closet.

I donated several pairs but I do not remember the brands. Goog luck in your search. Let me know what you get.

@Maineblueberries

I would like to suggest you not look for "ballet flats", but rather just "flats". To my eye, the round toe associated with ballet flats conjures up the look of those stretch slippers that were once so popular.

I think if you shop for an almond toe or pointed-toe flat you will find many dressier options for your upcoming event. @lolakimono recently posted a pair of flats that I really like from Anthropologie.

Talbots has lovely ballet flats!  If you want to dress them up for say an evening wedding, go to absolutely audrey dot com.  They have beautiful shoe jewelry that you can clip onto the shoe to dress it up!

I've heard Birdie's are really nice and comfortable.  $95.  I do not have any yet hope to get some soon.  They are a flat, not sure if they qualify as a ballet style.  Hope you find something great!
