I was watching Shoe Shopping with Jane tonight and someone had a question if this Clarks flat with a ankle strap had a arch support in it. The rep (I think named Sally) completely and intentionally skirted around the question. Thank goodness Jane had enough sense and professionalism to state that the shoe did not have a actual arch support but a very cushioned foot bed. That was so shady of that sales representative. That hurts her integrity big time!

Are you talking about the TSV?

How do you know it was intentional?

Sally is not the Clark rep. She’s Earth brand shoes.

I love Sally, she is a bundle of energy.  I have a couple of pairs of Earth and they are great!!    Very comfy and they look good to.  I have a pair of sandles and a pair of ankle boots.  The sandles are very cushioned and they do support you while the boots have an actual arch support in them.

Some times the answer is avoided becuz the rep doesn't know the answer. That is sad.

Amy of Clarks conducts herself as a professional and an adult.  Enough said.

Sorry I thought they were both named Sally. The rep. is Leanna Materra ( don't know how to spell her name) just heard it spoken. Yes, Sally is a great Earth brand rep. She is knowledgeable and fun to watch.

Jane answered the question.  So what difference does it make?

That’s a question, regarding shoes, that would get you ten answers if you asked ten people; five would say yes and five would say no.

No shoe mfg would ever want to say no, their shoes don’t have any/much arch support. I’ve seen shoes that have no arch at all, yet seen reviews of that shoe where purchasers claim the shoe has great arch support and that the shoe is”very comfortable.”  Some people actually define tons of memory foam as a good arch support, when a shoe is full of it but totally flat with no support whatever.

Comfort and an arch support are not the same thing. And hardly any two people on these forums agree regarding the comfort and support of any shoe.

So I suppose “does it have arch support” is very relative because it’s impossible to know just exactly what each individual means by that question. Some wouldn’t know/understand arch support if they fell over it.
