I bought the Gili Vintage hobo and Lisa stressed that the leather was from Italy and stained in Italy and then I am sure the leather was sent to China to make the bags. This is not clear for the Roma 2. Lisa said that the natural ostrich is high quality LIKE the Finest Italian leather. I have to assume that because she did not stress Italian leather, it isn't. Just want to verify. Does anyone know the leather source for Roma 2?

I was wondering the same thing.... I also have the GILI hobo which I absolutely love but comparing the prices one should assume the Roma bag is a different quality, probably similar to the GILI backpacks.....and I'd also like to know more about its leather.

I would ask these questions to Lisa R directly.....I think full disclosure as to what leather is used should be expected since the leather has been presented as such a big selling point.

Yes the leather is from Italy. Lisa had talked about looking at all the available skins to choose from. Leather from Italy but assembled in China.
