Re: Aimee Kestenberg Crossbody

I have had the exact bag for over 5 weeks and use it daily. I have a Brahmin wristlet in it that is heavy along with keys etc so carry some weight. I just checked it all over and it shows no wear on strap or where it attaches to bag. I have 3 of her bags and love them. I only wish the strap was longer as I am tall. HTH, Susic

Re: Aimee Kestenberg Crossbody

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean. Is the stitching fraying now, or are you worried it might start because of where it's located? If you could include a picture, that might be helpful because I'm having a hard time understanding what you're describing. Are you talking about this?

Re: Aimee Kestenberg Crossbody

Thank you all so much for answering me. The stitching is on the shoulder bag strap. It's like they got to a certain place putting the strap together and ran out of a full piece of leather and stitched another piece to the strap to finish it off and then attached it to the silver metal thing that it attaches to on the purse. They stitched it at a slant on the inside of the leather strap, but I'm still afraid as I wear it over the many years I carry it, it will fray along the stitching. It's odd cause I just assumed partially that this is the way they make real leather bags because I ordered a B Makowsky and it was the same way. I sent it back ..then I got this designer bag and it is the same way. Hope I made myself clear...please don't give up on me and give me your opinion...has this happened to any of you girls who buy leather designer bags all the time?? And should I send it back? Thanks again so much!!!

Re: Aimee Kestenberg Crossbody

I have this black leather and suede AK cross-body bag, A236369, which I didn't buy at QVC but I bought in Canada, and the underside of the black leather cross-body strap is pieced diagonally in 2 places before it's sewn to the upper side of the strap. The edges are painted and the painted edges have developed minute hairline cracks after not much usage. I've kept the bag but it's not going to be a hard wearing cross-body bag, IMO.because of the strap quality The black suede trim on the "Tammi" bag that I have isn't colorfast either.
