Advice on First Purchase

I have had the Odine satchel on my wish list for months and months. My wonderful hubby got me a QVC gift card for Valentines Day so I could buy it. Well, it's now a week later and I still haven't pulled the trigger on it!

I have never in my life paid that much for a purse, so that is partly why. The most I ever spent was $39.99 on a Kathy VanZ at TJ Maxx and didn't even know who she was or that it was one until random people started stopping me and asking me about it! lol

So I have been looking, and now I'm trying to decide between the Odine satchel and the Florentine. First question I have is is there a difference in the leather? Does Florentine refer to the line name, or is it the type of leather? What do you guys suggest as my first Dooney purchase? Should I start with one of these or something else?
