AWL Question

Looking in my closet one would think I collect D&B. I have had my life changed due to a fractured spine, 9 places 2 years ago. I am getting out some now and use a wristlet as I am in a wheelchair. Last year I purchased 2 AWL Drawstrings from D&B. Last evening was the first time to use a D&B handbag and I chose the DS. All my purses are as they were when purchased. My question, does the leather soften with use? I think Macys will be getting a couple of recent ones returned. I spend a lot of time here and guess I think I am who I use to be. I have a Dillen 2 satchel in crimson and green and the leather is more to my liking (comfort). Like my green and also my black DS and thought they would be so convenient. Looks sharp and hoping it does soften.
