Pumps? They are 3.75" high spikes that I have always called high heels. Jill said these are for fall and winter. These shoes are open on the sides. Jill lives in NYC where you have about 9 months total rain, slush and snow. When you go into the buildings the entrances are even slippery. Do the ladies carry these and change at the final destination? I have never worn 4" heels. I would break my neck and ruin my back, etc. Podiatrist, orthopedist and many doctors for years have warned us ladies about the long time effects of wearing high heels. The hosts complain about how the high heels are "killing" them and they have comfortable shoes waiting out of view of the camera. The models have often agreed. Why torture yourself when the garment you are wearing does not require " painfulshoes". In many cases you are not wearing shoes sold by QVC. Just wondering. In NY it is time for enclosed shoes to keep your feet warm and soles so you do not slip on the wet leaves and other surfaces. Ladies I do know that many of you live in states that have warm weather all year long, many of us do not.

I have to admit that one of the hardest clothing/accessory items I had to give up as I've gotten older would be heels. I love the look, but now I enjoy it when I'm people watching!

"Do the ladies carry these and change at the final destination?"
YUP!
"The hosts complain about how the high heels are "killing" them and they have comfortable shoes waiting out of view of the camera."
I have always found that statement strange. Females DO NOT have to wear heels. As far as I know, there is nothing in any contract or even a law, that females must wear high or low heels. Models are an exception, they don't count.
If high heels hurt your feet, wear flats. Simple as that.

I actually thought those shoes were fugly... but that's my taste.
They also looked ill-fitting. The model and the vendor had a huge gap between her heel and the back of the shoes, and the toes weren't fully covered with the toe-part of the shoe. Plus, with the open sides... I just imagine a lot of pain. The studs look like the tops of Lego bricks.
I guess I missed out on the shoe gene. Give me a comfortable pair of sandals or a nice pair of hiking boots any day!

yes, we change our shoes when we reach our destination. a pump is a type shoe with either a high heel, mid heel or kitten heel.

@qbetzforreal. OK understood. In my area my friends and I have always purchased flats, kitten heels, pumps which have thicker heels ( usually 2" or less), wedges, high heels and stilletos. We knew exactly the style others were talking about. We kept black pumps at the office in case they were needed and wore comfortable shoes that went with our outfit to the office. I guess we are showing are age. One more place we need to get up with the times. ;-)
