Yes, and my hubby also calls me a hoarder!! I have to admit, he is right! I went waayy overboard with the shoe and handbag purchases and now that I'm retired I really don't need all of them. I would love to have the money that I spent on them back in my pocket, LOL!! It is what it is and I had a heck of a good time spending all that money (that I couldn't afford)!!☺😉

A few months ago I donated bag after bag of wonderful and beautiful shoes, boots and sandals and it was so depressing to me!  I actually cried when I was placing some of them in the bags!  I know --- silly --- but anyone who knows me, knows that I have always been a shoe freak --- absolutely loved them!

Now, due to medical issues, can't wear any pretty or trendy shoes so got rid of nearly all of them.  I admit to keeping just a few very special and pretty pairs that I just couldn't let go!  They are in clear plastic boxes and I admire them occasionally!  So --- now I only look for suitable, sneakers which are sturdy and can work with my orthotics!

I sure can relate to what you were saying.  I just got through doing the same thing.  Beautiful high heeled boots and shoes, some only worn a few times.  At least some lucky ladies will be able to have some beautiful footwear.

Not anymore. I used to have pairs I rarely wore, but I ruthlessly purged my shoe collection over the last few years. I’ve been trying to downsize lots of things in my life. Every pair I currently own is worn - some more than others, but none of them are once or twice a year shoes.

I've been saying I would do it for better than the last year.

Today, finally had a trashbag full of shoes, most of them at least 10 years old, and not being worn for at least the last 5, hauled off.  About 5 pair of Birkenstocks, a pair of boots, a pair of tennis shoes, heels......

I don't know why it was so hard.  Took me all of 20 minutes to do it.   I've bought 9 pairs of new shoes and boots over the last year?  I wear the new ones now, and still have plenty of old shoes left if I'm feeling needy.

Feel a little lighter.  Time to go through clothes and coats, again.

My name is Caaareful Shopper, and I'm a sandal hoarder!

I have so many summer shoes and sandals I have lost count.  They are all in excellent condition because I usually wear each pair maybe once per season, or even once every other season.

At the end of each year my older sister knows to come for a visit (she comes other times of the year as well), and suggests the ones I could probably do without.  She usually goes back home with quite a good haul!  My pleasure, since that's my excuse to buy more cute sandals.
