Good morning ladies,

This morning, I finally decided to return my plaid E/W small plaid satchel. I just could not keep her at this size. So, I decided to get the larger version. Q sells it as Item # A-211082, but only in red and white. There are about 5 other color combinations available though. All sold out at Dooney.com. So, I kept searching. I originally purchased it at 6pm.com, so I contacted them first.

I could not find the Dooneys there, so I went over to Zappos. Found one! Ordered it. $196. Not the greatest, but it is selling out everywhere and I did not want to miss out. So, I ordered it and confirmed it.

Back to 6 pm to finish processing my return of the smaller version. I told her that the other day, when I ordered it, there was a larger version available. Would she check to see if there was one now? I was hoping that someone else cancelled their order and I could snatch it up.

The lady on the phone told me that they did not have any of the larger size, but they do have plenty of other Dooney pieces for me to choose from. (Huh? The other day, not a Dooney piece was to be found at 6 pm.com). She tells me how to request an exchange for a different item at the same time I submit my return. While I am on the phone, I searched their website, up popped A LOT of Dooney pieces, Dillen leather, plaid, nylon, all kinds of things...including the LARGE VERSION of this satchel. Lo and behold, I hurry up and order it. Get the confirmation. A couple of minutes later, I type Dooney & Bourke into their search field and NOTHING is there! WTH!?!?! What is going on over there? I did call Zappos back and immediately cancelled my order for the more expensive one.

The EXACT same purse is selling at Zappos for $196 and at 6 PM.com for $147. That is almost $20 difference. So, for the cost of (savings) almost 10 gallons of milk for the kids, I placed the new order. My purse is on the way! I hope that the Q measurements are true to size. The other sites state 17" wide. This one states 15" wide. We will see in a few days.

I did put my Pursfection organizer inside and the smaller version - it fits, but it is tight. I figure it will do nicely in the larger one. This morning, I ordered two more of them - for my Mom and my MIL.
