Target has these plastic slides with working buckles for $10 in many colors. I bought yellow, teal and coral and wear them as summer slippers around the house. Good thing about them is they have the molded arch support. Also great for pool and beach. No way would I pay $50, which is why I don't own a pair of Birkenstock plastic slides.

Apparently you don't shop other places because some department stores sells them even higher. They are jellies and they were sold in the seventies or eighties and they were real popular. I saw them in Dillards this weekend as well.

@Nightowlz I bought a pair of PILLOW SLIDES from Amazon to have as yard shoes.   I keep them by the door for when my dog wants to carry me for a walk in inclement weather or washing the car and such.

I bought some good sandals for the beach last year from Alergria.
