something new using my rice cooker---

I have a small Zoji rice cooker that I use all the time for rice---duhh😏--- but the other day I decided to cook my salmon in it with the brown rice, just for kicks and giggles and it turned out pretty darn amazing!! I added some soy sauce and sesame seed oil to it along with some green onions and a bit of s/p. It took the same amount of time to cook--was a little longer because of the brown rice, but it turned out great. Next time I will season it more, maybe use a broth instead if plain water, and add more veg to it. think chicken would be good to. Fish was moist and flaky and the rice had a slight salmon taste. Easy fast whole meal.

When Deborah Murray was the spokesperson for Wolfgang Puck , she used to show all kinds of foods you could cook in your rice cooker. I made some great recipes of hers over the years. One of the standout recipes was barbecued ribs. My family went nuts for them.

Sounds absolutely delicious!  Making chicken lettuce cups tonight same type of flavors with the sesame oil, rice wine vinegar hoisin sauce ginger garlic scallions ground chicken etc.  One of my favorite meals.

Gosh I enjoyed Debra Murray, she was great at demonstrating all the different things to do with appliances like that.
