For the best onion sandwich it is white onions all the way.  Anyone else a fan?

@Still Raining  I've never had an onion sandwich, but I saw a video of Jacques Peopin making one.  Intriguing as I really love onions.

Speaking of onions, I am trying to find a place that sells scallions.

Grocery store tells me a scallion is a green onion, but the receipe

call for using a scallion and specifically states do not use green

onions as they float to the top of the muffin.  It is  muffin made

with cottage chesse rather than flour.  Any idea where i can

purchase scallions?

It doesn't mention hamburgers.  I use the sweet Vidalia's for those.

OH geez----I like onions but they sure don't like me--epecially raw--I can handle them cooked tho. I live in Wa state and we have walla walla sweets--those things are so good--have eaten them raw in my younger days---

I'm the same way: Love them cooked, but when they're raw, I can only tolerate a little. Smiley Frustrated

@Salreg

According to Google, they are basically the same.  There are some 'technical' differences based on from what they are grown.  You can google it.

IMHO, just use what your store sells.

I grow from seeds and the seed packages say

'Bunching Onions'
