this is a quick and easy snack.

 

take frozen ravoli(any kind will do)  cook them as directed.  then pan fry them.  serve warm with a dipping sauce of choice

when ever we have ravoli, i cook extra just to make these. i usually use the beef kind.

i have also seen them done by dipping them in buttermilk and then in seasoned bread crumbs

@shortbreadlover I make these with fried or caramelized onions. Delish!

For those of us who live in the metropolitan St. Louis area, "toasted ravioli" is part of our culture since it originated here in the 1940s in our wonderful Italian area known as "the Hill". It's not actually toasted - it's deep fried after being coated with super fine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Once "toasted" It's always dipped in an Italian sauce and used as an appetizer, or in my case for an occasional dinner! All of our grocery stores sell several brands of toasted ravioli. It's awesome!
