We like to watch Trisha Yearwood and Ree Drummond.

Trisha had a Halloween special this past weekend and made several awesome but gruesome treats. Really enjoyed that segment.

DH and I have been to Pioneer Women’s Mercantile twice but haven’t been to where they tape segments.  The lines are very long to eat at her restaurant so haven’t had a meal there yet. However there is a bakery upstairs!!

@lovesrecess the same thing happened with HGTV, the older shows were the best and most informative.

I used to love it when Rachel Ray had her 30 min meals,  Barefoot Contessa was on daily, Robin Miller,  etc.

Food Network used to be about cooking.  Now, its turned into a network of competitive shows or stuff like Guy Fieri...  and its HOURS of that stuff.   I'm a southerner but I think I've seen all I would like to see of Pioneer woman and stuff like that.   I miss the old formats like crazy.

I'm lucky if I get to see Barefoot Contessa anymore.    And I used to love Alton Brown's show.  WOuld be neat if they had a Foodnetwork Classic!

I agree....they did away with all the best stuff that made Food network.  The only competition show I ever liked was the Original Iron Chef!

I record Trisha and Ree, and a couple of other shows.  I cant handle The Kitchen, Bobby Flay, or Guy whats his name.

The only thing I still watch on FN is "The Kitchen".   It's good.  I record it on Saturday and watch it on Sunday.  DH won't admit it, but he likes watching with me.  I think he fancies Katie Lee.

About the only time I watch anymore is in the mornings on the weekend (Ree, Trisha, etc.).  I spend much more time watching CREATE.
