I only watch on weekends...Trisha Yearwood's show and sometimes Ina Garten. I used to watch Next Food Network Star but realized it was not legit so lost interest. The network was much better years ago when it had shows that had actual cooking rather than the silly gameshows and contests....

@lovesrecess - I agree! I would much rather watch the reruns of the simple, direct cooking shows than all the competition shows. Trisha and Ina are great, and even though they show the Pioneer Woman for multiple hours a day every day, I love her show as well. I actually think it would be interesting for Food Network to put older shows like the ones from Rachael Ray, Tyler Florence, and Emeril back into circulation—good cooking is good cooking, no matter when a show was filmed. (And previous Food Network Star winners like Melissa D'Arabian, Aarti Sequeira, and Aaron McCargo Jr had great shows that could be reaired as well.)
I recently added the Cooking Channel to my Sling subscription and have been loving the programming offered on that station; there are so many more shows with chefs cooking there that I've filled my DVR with tons of fun things to watch...

me too. my grandmother would watch her shows and then talk back to her saying things like i have never heard of doing it that way or so that's how you do that.
it was so funny at the time but i realize now just how ahead of her julia child really was

@shortbreadlover If I get the chance, I like to watch the kids competitions. Those kids are amazing! Also, I like to watch Ina when I can. I like the PBS shows for information, like Cooks Country. Hey, does anyone remember Two Fat Ladies?

I still watch Chopped quite a lot.

I like Chopped, too. For weeks now though, it seems like it's been non-stop Halloween baking shows.
I got into Beat Bobby Flay for a short while, but I got really sick of the jokey hokey teasing. Not interested any more.

Very rarely do I watch this channel anymore. I feel like they took off almost all of the good shows.
