it is calaled smith's out here and i do not like tem. i think that theare over prices and the kroger braand is not a good brand. i know a manager of a smith's and he told me not to buy the kroger brand at all.

Yes, I like to shop at Kroger occasionally, as in every 3-4 months. Their produce section is the best we have in this area of WV. There are specific products I buy only from Kroger, such as oyster crackers, and their brand of corned beef. I usually buy my turkey breasts and semi boneless hams there because of the brands they carry.

My favorite grocery store is owned by a local man, and is the only place I buy beef and pork loins. His stores are known in this area for the freshest meat.

I do like my local Kroger. They have the best selection of healthier foods at reasonable prices. I don't think I have ever gotten their store brand in anything food related so I can't speak to that.

I like to shop at Krogers but hate that they discontinued doubling coupons.

I don't shop as often there as I used to since they did that.

I do love Free Friday though, when a product each week is free (have to load the ecoupon online to get that offer). I've gotten a lot of good free stuff!

I use to love shopping at Kroger's when they offered more 10 for 10 specials (especially their frozen vegetables) but now I only purchase some grocery items. I still get my bottled water and fuel for my car from Kroger because of the discounts.

I love shopping at Smith's! I'm surprised to hear that you think they're overpriced; in my area, they are easily the cheapest grocery stores and have great sales each week. Some locations are definitely better than others as far as selection, but for overall price and quality (with the exception of the mediocre bakery), Smith's is my go-to store.

As is the case with all store brands, you're going to find some products that are just as good as name-brand ones and many that are not. In my experience, the Private Selection brand, which is the premium version of the Kroger brand, is typically great—and you'll often get coupons for that brand to sweeten the deal.

We ❤️ Kroger's. Wish there was one nearby. My mom especially loves to go on the day when they offer a special discount to senior citizens. I remember their commercials from years ago about going Krogering. One of my friends from high school had a part-time job there, and she spoke so highly of them as an employee. Never had any complaints, so this OP surprised me. Maybe it's just an issue in the store where you are.
