battered onion rings

has anyone successfully(homemade)air fried onion rings in the air fryer ? I wonder how to keep it from dripping off of onion slice. 

 

I have recipes for the crispy panko crumb ones that I plan to try. (bluejean chef's book) I prefer the battered coated ones usually.
