Zippy Beef Cubes

1 1/2 pounds boneless beef...cut into 1 inch cubes

24 1 inch squares green pepper...about 2 peppers

2 teaspoons salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons oil

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon mustard

1 clove garlic

2 tablespoons lemon juice

pineapple chunks...I have used fresh and canned pineapple

1 8 ounce can tomato sauce

Thread beef cubes, pepper squares and pineapple alternately on wooden or metal skewers. Begin with a beef cube. Twelve 5 inch skewers should be enough. Brown in oil. Add pepper and 1 teaspoon pepper. Cover tightly and cook in the oven at 325* for 1 hour. Combine water, tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, remaining salt, garlic and lemon juice. Pour sauce over meat. Cover and cook 45 minutes longer, or til tender. Serve kabobs with sauce on a bed of fluffy rice.
