Since I left the San Francisco Bay Area 22 years ago, I haven't found a decent bowl of it at restaurants in my area.

I would love to make a perfect bowl of it, I really want to excel at making it.

Anyone here have a great recipe?

@Puppy Galore

Food Network's Jeff Mauro has a Pot Sticker soup recipe using bok choy that I've made many times. He also has a won ton soup recipe that looks the same.

We use Trader Joe's pork pot stickers as they taste fairly authentic. We moved 28 years ago from the mid-peninsula in the Bay Area and the Asian food was horrific then here in Denver. Has gotten much better.

What part of the Bay Area did you live?

I lived 25 years in Sunnyvale and a few more years in Menlo Park, and finally in Santa Cruz County.

The last 22 years in Shasta County.

I shop at Trader Joe's and bought their pork pot stickers.

I'll check out Jeff Mauro's recipes, thank you.

Do you make your own wontons, or do you buy them frozen?

I find that the Bibigo brand of frozen chicken wonton soup is convenient and tasty.

I've never made the soup, if I can find the wontons premade I'll use those first.

I've made the soup recipe on the back of the package of Bibigo mini pork and vegetable wontons.  I use chicken broth and add ramen noodles.

@Puppy Galore  .Hope you find a good recipe.  However, I have found that by going to a restaurant instead of a take out Chinese  place, you might find a good  won ton soup.  Good Luck!
