@house_cat  I like Laura Vitale too.  I watched several of her videoes yesterday.  I scroll until something catches my eye and watch the video.  Weird I know, but I also read cookbooks like most people read a novel.

Even DD, who does not have a cooking gene, watches her videoes and says "I could do that." lol

Yes, Laura's recipes are rarely complicated.  I grew up in an Italian American household, but my mom was not a very enthusiastic cook, nor did she like a variety of foods, so I didn't grow up eating a lot of the Italian dishes that people assume I'm familiar with. Often my friends will ask me to make something traditionally Italian and I don't have a clue.  Laura is a great place to start.

I also like All Recipes and Taste of Home.  When it comes to baking, though, Joy of Baking is my go-to.

I love Budget Bytes, Cafe DeLites, and Gimme Some Oven, and Thug Kitchen. If you have an Instant Pot, Pressure Luck Cooking is a must. Closet Cooking is great, especially if you have a very small kitchen.

I also love Meredith Lawrence, the Blue Jean Chef.

I love the blog "Margaret's Morsels."  She hasn't posted much in a long time, but everything I've ever made from her blog has been delicious.  The recipe for Nutter Butter Nutella Icebox Cake is sooooo good.
