I'm fond of cream cheese.  Don't have it much at all, but it's a nice surprise when it's in a special food for enjoyment, like at the holidays.

So many spices so little time. We love spices and use them all the time, many different ones to capture or enhance a particular flavor for a particular meal. I can't name just one.

I agree with you.

Have you ever tried a little in scrambled eggs?

Or tomato soup?

Good with everything.

I've recently discovered beef base and chicken base.

I put it in everything-- a little or a lot, whether the recipe calls for it or not.   

Gives a bit of depth of flavor without startling you.

Anchovies.....when melted down in a pan no one ever knows they are there in a sauce. They taste like salty nuts and add a depth of flavor. I even use the olive oil they are packed in.
