Our neighbors are coming to our house for Thanksgiving. Neither my dh nor her dh care too much for turkey. I'd like to have something special. My dh suggested ham and I'm really not excited about that ~ prefer ham for Christmas. Any ideas, friends?

How about a crown rib roast, potatoes and gravy, and all the other Thanksgiving fixings.

Yes! A pork crown rib roast and put dressing inside the cavity. We have done that a few times for Thanksgiving and it was very good.

New England Pot Roast...........you could even do it in the slo-cooker (!)

I'd suggest a Beef Tenderloin - talk about an awesome meal! Plus they're easy to roast in the oven. I'd also serve twice baked potatoes and a nice green salad. And for dessert, a pecan pie and pumpkin pie!

A lot of time we will have prime rib for holiday meals. It’s something special and always a hit.

As @BirdieGal said Pork Crown Roast great or a Pork Loin Roast.
Pork is wonderful, with the traditional sides - especially the sweet potatoes and cranberry relish.

@trenetI'm with you! A crown Roast will fit the fancy bill quite nicely and the loin roast is good for a more homey, comfortable Thanksgiving. All the sides you can think of go great with pork. Good idea!

Boneless pork roast with stuffing inside! Maybe traditional stuffing, or mushroom stuffing, or apples in stuffing etc. etc.
You can butterfly it yourself or have butcher do it--it's easy and you can get instruactions online. Roll it out flat, put stuffing inside then roll up, tie and bake! They are wonderful and you can make gravy or sauce and slice and serve!
It's doesn't cost an arm and a leg either and it is SOOOOOOO good!

I'm with the boys on this one.............don't care for turkey. If you and lady neighbor really want "T" do a "T" breast - make enough dressing for both your pork/beef (whatever you chose) roast AND the "T" breast. That should make everybody happy happy. (smile)
