What does Coconut Water taste like ?

Bob's making his sport drink in the Ninja IQ with coconut water. I have a Ninja and would like to try this receipe.

Trust me, not all coconut water tastes the same! Some are horrendous (vita coco, for example), others are delicious. I only drink the ones with no added sugar- just virgin coconut water. i really like Co2 brand and blue monkey. I actually like the ones with pulp in it the best.

We all enjoy it. I also put some coconut in with my dogs food. Please do not do this without conferring with your Vet but it was suggested for our dogs.

My youngest daughter (adult) has been drinking and using coconut milk and water for many years. Now it's the latest rage.

On several of the talk shows (ie The Talk, Kathie and Hoda, Rachael Ray lately they've been using coconut in several forms. Just the other day Rachael Ray was using the liquid and the coconut to cover the chicken.

I've never tasted it. I used to buy it for her from COSTCO. Way back then it was expensive.

I have used it in smoothies. ITA not all coconut water has a good taste.

Is there a particular nutritional reason to use coconut water?

Remember they are liquid calories w/ no fiber, etc.

Example:

ZICO coconut water, 8oz, is 48 calories.

Sweet Potato, small 60 grams, is 54 calories.

Water will be gone in 2 seconds w/ no residual benefits.

Eating same calories will provide fiber, vitamins, minerals.

A smoothie would be just as beneficial using plain water as the liquid source without add'l calories (and sugar depending on brand).

Coconut this, coconut that..it's just a trend that will go away in a few years. Want coconut water?

Buy a coconut, hack it open...there's not that much liquid.

Mother Nature designed her food for a reason...coconuts were meant to be eaten sparingly, hence the design.

I only tried vita, I think, and it was horrible. I never tried again because I thought they would be all the same. Good to know they are not. My SIL liked it though so I gave her the rest of the case.
