SAFFRON.......if you can get good quality saffron it is so delicious in so many things......for color, aroma, and taste. a little goes a long way.

i use it in soups, eggs, stews, pan fried potatoes, rice, couscous .......have even used it in rice puddings and  ice creams also.

@LilBitMissty  Thanks so much!  This is great.  I am one of those who grew up with a "working mother"...no cooking/baking lessons.  No mentor in the kitchen, if you will.  A great mom however. Love her to pieces!

I really appreciate all of your effort in putting this together.

Blessings

I don't know if this post is appropriate for this thread but about a year ago I ordered what I thought was cinnamon sugar from The Spice House and was chagrined to discover the blend had cardamom in it (huh?) . . . best "mistake" I have ever made as it is absolutely delicious in this blend so if you are making a recipe that requires a spice blend along these lines I couldn't recommend this more . . . His Grace...Hi there. Thanks so much. I guess I was very fortunate. I come from a family of wonderful cooks. Not only that but I married a chef. I learnd so much about cooking and baking from all of them! I will keep adding to this post, so keep an eye on it. Smiley Happy
