I am making Hawaiian Pie. Made with a shortbread crust, with the filling made up of vanilla pudding, crushed pineapple, sour cream, coconut extract ( a small amt). Very light after a heavy meal Smiley Happy

Oh my, I printed and pinned that one from Furr's.  A whole lot of summer ahead not try that very soon, like maybe Memorial Day or any Sunday afternoon.

One of our guests is bringing cheesecake so I'm buying strawberries and blueberries if anyone wants to put them on top.

The Millionaire Pie posted recipe is very similar to Pink Fluffy Salad, minus the pie crust:

An easy oldie but goodie:

Pink Fluffy Salad

Ingredients:

1 container Cool Whip

1 can sweetened condensed milk

8 ounces sour cream

1 can crushed pineapple, drained well

1 (16 ounce) can cherry pie filling

3/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Mix all together and chill.

Yes, it is a boxed mix from the baking aisle.

@ECBG.  At one time my office was within walking distance of a Furr's so I lunched there often.  There was also one here in Albuquerque which has closed.  I often ate that pie and even made it a time or two.  Its one of the best things I ever ate.  I think Furr's claimed to have invented it.  There are lots of recipes floating around that combine condensed milk, cool whip, lemon juice with various fruits and nuts which are lighter but not as good.

I'm not making anything, but if I did, I might try this lamb cake I've seen on Susan Branch's blog.
