Here is a site with some good suggestions. The star-shaped pigs in a blanket are a festive idea, but since you will be on a motorcycle, the Red, White and Blue potato salad might be easier to transport, and it looks yummy.

This is so good. I brought it to a Fourth of July party last year and everyone ooh'd and aah'd. They said it looked so festive. It is very easy to make.
Stars and Stripes Tart
Crust:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
Heat oven to 400°. Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour and milk; beat at low speed until well mixed.
Press dough onto bottom and 1/2" up sides of ungreased 13"x9" baking pan. P'rick bottom with fork. Bake for 14-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.
Combine all filling ingredients in small bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Spread over top of cooled crust. Refrigerate until firm (1-2 hours).
Just before serving, arrange fruit on filling in design of American flag using strawberry halves for stripes and blueberries for stars. Brush fruit and filling with apple jelly.
Note: I just re-read the OP and noticed that you need recipes that can travel well on a bike. Sorry about that, I didn't see that until after I posted this recipe. Unless you had just the right travel container, this probably wouldn't be a good recipe to take, but I would save it for another time, as it's delicious.

Chocolate covered bacon! I KID YOU NOT! We did this for a party we recently attended and everyone went bonkers for it (the red pepper flake variety was the most popular).
It's really easy - you cook the bacon, melt the chocolate, dip the bacon and then sprinkle whatever toppings you like (finely ground almonds, coconut, Reeses Pieces chopped, M&M's chopped and the little red pepper flakes you shake onto pizza). Sky's the limit! Just make sure after dipping and sprinkling you put it on a cookie sheet (wax paper) and chill in the oven for a good hour or so).
I recommend using thick sliced bacon from the deli and cutting it in half for easy grab 'n go party pleasers!

Topaz Gem,
Sooooo glad you didn't know that a recipe that could travel well on a bike was needed!! This is a wonderfully easy dessert to make. And it looks really delicious. Can't wait to make this for the 4th. Thanks for posting this recipe.

I would take a pasta salad, as it always travels well. Last July 4th I made a macaroni fruit salad from this board & the bowl was the first one empty.
I love potlucks & when I host one I usually make a couple dips & something in the crock pot. I always ask guests to add a dish, but it's not required. We get yummy food & I get a lot of new recipes.

Cream cheese with pepper jelly. I love the mini pita crackers from Trader Joe's to serve it with.
Trader Joe's has good cream cheese and delicious pepper jelly. Get it all there.
