Michigan French Onion Soup ( 7 cups) serves 4-6
3 1/2 lbs of onions sliced thin 7 cups onions
1/4 cup olive oil
Cook the onions in the olive oil till golden brown about 1 hour
2 cups cider
3 cups beef broth stir these ingrds. in and simmer 20 minutes (cider,beef broth,water, brandy)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons brandy
Salt and pepper to taste
Freezes well
