@ECBG thank you for this. I am planning on making a turkey breast in my crock pot for the first time this year and was wondering do you put the breast in breast side up or breast side down?
Most recipes aren't specific so I would appreciate any help you could provide . . . many thanks!
Mtc,
I am going to jump on in here and say that unless a recipe indicates what you should do, I personally don't think that it matters.
Depending on the size of your cooker too, I would put it in there, the best way that it fits, too.
Sometimes with the ribs and the bones in, it can be a bit of an awkward fit in your cooker, if you're trying to get a larger-sized breast in a smaller-sized cooker.

Toppers i think I want to do simple. Oil some herds and in the Oven.

Since turkey cutlets aren't really fatty, you could always put them on a large piece of foil, add a little butter/oil, herbs and what ever onions, garlic, potato slices, a little broth, etc etc and wrap tightly before putting in the oven and bake for 45 min to an hour. They will be moist and flavorful!
