Good morning friends ... walker, Snowy stayed home because "he didn't want to come over"  hahaha!! apparently, he'll watch over the house.

cookie, yes, we are having some cooler weather ... our high for today is 36 ... but that's ok, it's going to be dry.

Well, I'm getting the flu shot tonight (low dose) so if I'm not on tomorrow you'll know why ... I'm going to take Tylenol right before I go and then afterwards as well (within time to take them) ... last time I did that, the Tylenol seemed to keep it at bay and I didn't get too sick (only a few days) ... fingers crossed.

Shout out to kittyfan ... 👋

Happy Wednesday!  12 Days until Christmas!  So much on my mind...lists, lists, Ho, Ho, Ho!  Breathe in....Breathe Out...stay calm...calm? 🤣

Lunch out yesterday was a nice change of pace....good friends....good food ....and....mimosas! Ha!  I said I would treat for the mimosas.  They were good.  Then I got the bill.....3 mimosas....$33!  😳  My lunch was only $14! I just had to laugh to myself!  Oh well...it's the season to be jolly!  💸💸  Between the mimosa, more lunch than I usually eat and then dessert we all shared, I was STUFFED!  Good thing I had some leftover dinner food for DH last night.  I skipped dinner.  

Good luck with getting the flu shot, Tootie.  Sounds like a good plan.  🤞🍀 

I would love to have the Eggs Benedict, cookie....I'll bring the mimosas!  😆 French Toast a favorite too, Tootie.  I love breakfast food.  Cheers to the SCC!

Good morning

Yesterday slipped by.  Last night I went to Bible study. It was a lovely Christmas program. There will be a candlelight Christmas Eve service.  

I do know what grapple is.  We have experienced it.  

Went to breakfast. My across the courtyard neighbor said he heard me " speaking " to the dogs. There was a raccoon in the courtyard. I was actually telling Ms. Drama queen to go into her room!   I guess I need to be careful!   He says they are becoming good friends. 

Yesterday about noon they were barking. I looked out to see one of the staff.  She has a beautiful St.Bernard who she brings occasionally for pet therapy.  I stuck my head out and introduced the dogs.  She asked if they could have treats---of course!

On Saturday when brother was here I heard a conference call from a church member needing assistance. They are a very small church.  This lady lives in San Antonio.  I was not surprised when brother told me he caught a cheap flight and went to SA to see situation first hand. Truly a servants heart!

I do miss the Cafe. My sweet Kristen had moved and I was still fond of others and I think of them often.

I am loving the Christmas music. I discovered u tube has lots of options.

Hello friends ... done! I got the regular dose flu shot ... the pharmacist told me to drink lots of water ... so between that and the Tylenol, fingers crossed, I'll be ok ... on top of that, I think I'm getting a cold now ... stuffy head ... ugh!! ... yikes walker!! that's a lot of money for your Mimosas but ... probably so worth it ... 😂😂

kittyfan, your DB has a huge heart of gold ... we really need more people like him in this world ... laughed at your neighbor hearing you talk to your pups!! ... and now a St. Bernard friend for your pups! ... they're sociable pups!!

We had a good day with the kids ... now it's time to enjoy a UB ... Have a good night ... see you in the morning. 😁

Good morning ~

Tootie, you got the regular low dose flu shot and your pharmacist told you to drink plenty of water.  Good advice - no pain or after effects.  So now you think you may be getting a cold - hope not! I am still vascillating about any flu/COVID shots.  I sitll havent heard or read any positive things about the COVID ones and am leery about getting any. Glad you had a good day with the littles.

walker, glad you enjoyed your lunch but Mimo$$$a's - Wow.  Were they as good as Tootie's?  Better have been for that money!  Eggs benedict and French Toast - SCC YUM!!!  

kittyfan, cute story about talking to your dogs.  I have always talked to my animals - it's the only intelligent conversation I get! - no interruptions and no back talk either!  How nice for Jake and Holly to have a friend.  Your brother certainly does have a giant heart of gold and a servants heart.  What a wonderful man!  Sorry to hear Kristen moved, I know you were fond of her as well as the others.

Good morning friends ... I feel pretty good this morning except for this cold (although it's not too bad ...)

cookie, I'm on the fence about that darn Covid vaccine too ... you hear so many stories about what can be in the vaccine and on the other hand stories about people that get Covid and are pretty sick ... 🤷‍♀️ not sure what one is supposed to do ... with me being around the kids all the time I opted to get the flu vaccine (at least some protection) ... it's one's personal preference on what they want to do ... good luck with your decision!

I think I'm going to lay low today ... I still have to think about wrapping my gifts yet (I really don't enjoy wrapping anymore!) but I still have time!! 😉😊

Oh, did anyone watch David Venable's 30th Anniversary show? I had planned on it but went to bed early ... but I did record it ... I just want to see some of his earlier days.

Happy Thursday!  Finally, a better cup of coffee!  I bought a dark roast yesterday and that makes a difference.  So maybe I will stick with my coffeemaker for now.  We'll see what DH says when he tries it.  🤞

cookie, laughing at your comment about talking to the animals....intelligent conversation and they don't talk back....and they agree with what is said...😂.  Pets are the best!!  They greet you with a wagging tail too (dogs anyway)....miss mine.  Lots of love from them.

I agree on questioning more Covid shots.  I'm not getting anymore at this time.  I did get the flu shot too...regular dose.  Tootie, I am glad you are doing ok after getting yours yesterday.  Good advice on the Tylenol and water.

I did see 30 minutes of David's anniversary show last night and was falling asleep so turned it off and went to bed.  I'll have to see what highlights I can find on here or read about....or, let me know what I missed after you watch the recorded show, Tootie.   I really enjoy David but can only take so much of him being with his best friend, Jane.  Too much gushing and "honey".  I have friends for over 50 years I don't gush over nearly as much....but, everyone is different.

kittyfan, funny about neighbor there who heard you talking to J&H....nothing real private anymore at SO...ha.  

More errands today.....HO, HO, HO....6 days until FL family arrives, 9 days until birthday celebration and 11 to Christmas....THEN I RELAX!!!

Hello friends ... oh walker, you will have a busy, busy next couple of weeks ... come January 1st, Hibernation UB's will be in store for you!!

I watched David's Anniversary Show ... IMO, you didn't miss much ... I don't care for Jane (annoying) and she tried to make the show all about her (and her daughters) and then listening to the "ma hunee" and watching the holding of the arm/hands and the hugging and the "I love you"... it was a little much 🤢 They did show clips of David from a way back when but most were of him making his googly eyes and doing the Happy Dance ... it pretty much was a normal kitchen show with the vendors/hosts wishing him Congratulations. They did have a cake for him at the end of the show with the behind the scenes people congratulating him and doing the Happy Dance.

Tootie, thanks for review on show last night.  I am glad I went to bed.  Sounds like they could have done a better job celebrating him.  🤷‍♀️  Recently, the programming has become very silly overall.  I do like David and congratulate him.  I don't think I could spend 30 years selling products multiple times on TV and look enthusiastic.  He does a good job.  I could sell the wine...🤣.  

I am trying to stay calm but juggling so many things right now.  Did more errands today.  Tomorrow I am home  to catch up on my regular things plus pre-make and freeze some items for brunch.   Keep Calm and Carry On!  Also, pass the mimosas! 😂  I will be happy to hibernate in January!
