kittyfan, that Airing of the Quilts sounds so nice!  A few years ago some friends all got together.  At same time there was a Quilt Convention in town.  Wow....beautiful quilts!!!  I have a quilt made by the grandmother of a close friend.  It must be over 100 years old now!!!  Let us know more after Saturday.

Well, better get going....I have my "crowning" today! Joy, joy! 🦷💸...ha!

Good morning ~  Doc visit went fine.  Had to wait in the car until they called - about 5 minutes.  Next appointment will be via telephone - Yay!  I did get a flu shot.  So far so good.

walker, hope your "crowning" went well.  Your old quilt sounds wonderful.  I took quilting classes for a couple of years and made a few.  I really enjoyed it.  the class went to an airing of the quilts or something quite similar.  It's been 40 years!

Gee Tootie, another record - good grilling weather - too bad you put your grill away 😥.  You know if you get it out again, the weather will change - haha - not funny, but funny.

kittyfan, I hope all is going well with the TS. Those quilts sound lovely too!

Good morning friends ... cookie, glad all went well with your visit ... I think waiting in our cars is going to be the norm for a long while ... good for you for getting a flu shot ... I never got one until last year because of LG and now this year because of this virus ... I know it won't protect from that but at least it will from maybe a double whammie!!

You know cookie, that's always the way with putting the grill away ... it seems to get real nice afterwards but it is so tucked away that there's no getting it out until next spring.

We'll have a rainy 65 degree day ... I can't believe that I have been able to keep my windows opened (at night too!) for the past couple of nights .. in November!! I'm planning on a very mild winter ... (wishful thinking, I'm sure!)

cookie/kittyfan, since walkers Birthday is on Sunday we have to start planning for our Queens Big Day ... walker, do you have a cake request?

cookie, 👏👏👏 to you too for getting the flu shot!  Glad you had good check-up!  My crowning went well too...a little more royal-ness (HA) in my life!  

DD called last night to say she wasn't feeling well..😳...and went for a COVID test.  She is worried about us since we were just together on Sunday.  Yikes!  But, we stayed outside except when she came in to get her dinner to take home.  Whatcha gonna do???? 🙏🙏🙏 for negative report...may not know until end of week.

So, my birthday will be quiet one....same for GS..🙁...but, that's life in 2020...disappointment.  I am going to buy everything I enjoy eating on Sunday....should start with mimosa...haha!

Great message Tootie!  I had totally forgotten Veterans Day.  Shame on me.  HAPPY DAY TO ALL WHO SERVED!!!

 I agree - we should have grandiose HUGE Mimosas to celebrate properly.  Do we dare bring the Chef?  A birthday bash fit for a Queen!  Soooo, a white cake, lemon filled with buttercream frosting??  Sounds good!

No after effects yet from the flu shot.  Woke up with a slight headache at 2AM - I have never really had a headache so this will be interesting.  It seems to be going away.  Now I can start thinking of the Big Bash.

We will be 79 today.  What happened to Winter?

walker, do you prefer to have your bash on Saturday or Sunday ... whatever day you choose I'm sure we can make it happen

Good morning ~  Okay - the chef it is!  I wonder what he will prepare?  Rack of Lamb with little crowns?  I hope cousin Eddie doesn't get wind of it.  My brain is not functioning yet so I'll have do some serious thinking.

LG wore you out Grammie??  They are very good at that!  Wait until he learns to walk - you're going to join the overly tired Grammie's club!  He sounds so cute, so it's all worth it.

Good morning friends ... this is going to be a fun celebration ... we'll have a tent with portable heaters and all the "fun" stuff for a party ... Our Queen will be celebrated!!

Ugh!! we are now in a yellow zone due to the rising COVID cases and there are now restrictions on things again ... restaurants/bars/gyms have to close at 10pm and any gatherings are limited to no more than 10 people ... the doctors said that this virus would get bad during the fall/winter and I guess it has ...

For now we're still planning on doing Thanksgiving ... we've been around everyone that we will be with (no one from out of town/state) we're going to set up buffet style (served up by one person) and sit throughout the house to eat ... DM is ok with this plan as we will be at her house ... of course, things can change at any time ... it's a waiting game.

Have a good day ... we'll have a sunny but mild 50 degree day ... pouring and passing.

Just had to chuckle at our tired Grammie....best kind of tired, eh?  They don't tell grandparents they need to go into training ahead of time....haha!  Can't wait to hear more  in days ahead....better check out your running shoes!😂

Since the SCC usually meets on Saturday (for fun and trouble..haha).....we can kick off my birthday celebration then.  Can't wait to see Chef again.....then he can rest until next Fall...😂.  Have you heard the joke going around about birthdays.....I am not turning a year older because I haven't used this year yet....something like that.

Two weeks from today is Thanksgiving.....read article that said start now to quarantine and be careful what you do...or you may be sick by Thanksgiving....😱😥.  Not sure of our plans right now.
