Hi! Good morning/afternoon. We are having sunshine with a high of 45 today. However, to change to snow and blustery by game time. Not sure if we will be watching, it stresses us both out!
R = Robin (looking for my first sighting to tell me it is spring!) Saw a finch the other day.

Tootie15, a while back you asked cookie5 about Frito Pie. This recipe came in the e-mail from Gooseberry Patch today. I hope you like it. I think you could use ground turkey, reduced fat cheese and low sodium tomato soup. I know that Doritos as a very good whole wheat scoop for dip that is very good.
Hamburger Crunch
2 lbs. ground beef
1 T. onion, minced
2 10 - 3/4 oz. cans tomato soup
1 t. chili powder
4 c. corn chips
8 oz. pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Brown ground beef and onion together in a large skillet over medium heat; drain. Stir in soup and chili powder. Spread in a 9 x 13 pan, top with corn chips. Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, until cheese melts. Serves 6 to 8.

Hello friends .... Kathy, thanks for posting this recipe ... sounds easy enough to make and delicious!! ... how about we both look for a robin and see who spots it first?? I'm ready for spring ...
walker, I had to run to the store and it really seemed like we were having a heat wave ... I actually saw a women wearing a short sleeve shirt and no jacket ... (not that warm!!) but maybe she was trying to make others think it really was spring??!!

Hi everyone! The weatherman lied - the temps didn't go into the 40s as promised; it's still slightly above freezing, overcast, and there's rain in the forecast. Looks like another day of hibernation.
I'm starting to get cabin fever, but my leg is still somewhat painful and the cold only makes it worse.
Tootie, I have to laugh at the young women and the men of all ages who - as soon as the temps hit 50 - pull out the shorts.
In Hawaii when the temps went down to the 60s we'd reach for sweaters!
Hope you all have a wonderful day - stay warm!

Good morning everyone!! ... we are at 31 now with snow falling ... we got about 3 inches overnight and it is a heavy, wet snow ... ugh!! ... we are going to get very cold tonight, high of 5!! ... finally, finally, all of my Christmas decorations are tucked away until next year! I needed help putting the totes in order down in the basement and realized (again) I have way tooooo many decorations so I told DH "we" have to go through these things next year and get rid of some of them .... if I don't put them out/use them, why am I keeping them??
Have a good day ... enjoy those UB's ...

Good morning y'all!!! Kids are back to school!! Never thought I would be one of those mom's who are happy to have them at school, but I am! I was going to finish putting away all the decor last week, but with them home, it didn't work out that way. Maybe this week. I probably need to edit some of my stuff too, there are things I have not used in many years.
We are having a heat wave, upper 20's and then into the teens this afternoon. Just a dusting of snow for us over night. Sounds like we will have the same cold as you Tootie the next couple of mornings.
Walker, hope you get QM's hearing aid worked out soon!

Hi! Good morning! We are a winter wonderland. Started out as rain and has turned to a heavy snow. I would say 3" at least plus more to come.
I am so very glad that I froze some things from last week and made Chicken Corn Chowder yesterday. We are down to boneless pork chops and a turkey breast. Used the last of the canned beans and canned corn! I am very proud of myself for not wasting what we have. Any ideas for the boneless pork chops. They are thick with no bone.
walker, hope QM finds the other hearing aid. Do you think it might have fallen between her night stand and the bed? I remember one time, I was so tired that I almost took a shower with them on! Hope she finds them. Everyone stay safe and warm. Kathy

Hello .... well I went out early and shoveled the driveway, but it needs it again!! ... the snow has been falling all morning and now is coming down quite heavy .... I think I am going to wait until later (maybe it will let up??) to go out again ...
Kathy, I usually bread my chops and bake them in the oven ... my favorite way, which I haven't done in a while and no one else likes) is cooking them on the stove in a frying pan ... but I cook them until they are way dried out!! .. love them that way!! (my kids used to say they were having "shoe leather" for dinner .. now I know why they don't like pork chops ... I've scarred them!) However, since no one else will eat them that way, I usually do them in the oven or out on the grill!!
