Good Morning Friends! Got up this morning and it was -7 ! Brrrrr for sure....I had to venture out to feed my birds though. I was covered head to toe...even face mask....scary lady in neighborhood!!! Frostbite can happen quickly in these cold temps. Cookie/kittyfan....I read in paper that mid-Texas, north of Dallas I think, had an earthquake yesterday (?). Careful going up and down those stairs with totes, Tootie. My dream home would have a huge storage room on first floor convenient for all the Christmas decorations. Wishing you all a good day! Dallas is a few hours away---North of us---but we do live on or near the Balcones Fault. So I guess a quake is a possibility.

Oh my gosh walker, that's cold, but glad you took precautions .... do you get many birds in this weather? .... well, totes are put back ... now to get the house back in order ... ugh!! it's a vicious circle ... never ends ... I'm taking a UB now ...

I think we are up to 4 degrees now but weather is very bad. Wind is blowing and snowing too. So glad I can stay inside. Next week we will be having a heat wave in 20's, weatherman says. Bigkat might be getting nasty weather too....you are next, Tootie, sorry! Maybe it will blow into Canada. I am getting closets, drawers cleaned out.....ready for trip to Goodwill when I get out. Good afternoon! Kids are home again and most likely will be tomorrow too. We had about 5 more inches over night, but they say about a foot more by tomorrow afternoon. Right now we are 20 below with wind chill and that is the main issue with kids being out. FHG, feel better soon. Cookie, glad DD is having fun with it, make the best of it! Hi Kathy....guess we crossed here...bigkat...I think our schools will be closed tomorrow too...bad weather week! Tootie, I forgot to mention that I do get a lot of birds.....some cardinals that are pretty regular.....chickadees, finches...once in awhile woodpeckers but not usually in this cold weather.....fun to watch.......I spread extra food on ground today. After I came inside there was Mr. Cardinal alone which is unusual as male/female stick together. Guess she was sleeping in but then he left. Shortly after they were both back.....think he woke her up and said..."come on woman....breakfast is ready ". Ahhhh....my simple life enjoying the birds. Bye again.....DH is trying to beat me to finish on puzzle........S.......Swordfish.......NEXT......T

Hi everyone!

Well, thank the Lord my pipes have defrosted and didn't burst; my friend is coming by to put the insulation on either later today or tomorrow. It's been COLD - in the 20s - and I can't wait until it warms up again!

Oh, I love the birds too...even though I'm still hurting, I went out and filled their feeder; I imagine they don't much care for the cold either.

Oh the wind is whipping out there! Some schools are posting closures for tomorrow, but not our area yet. FHG, glad your pipes didn't burst! We have had a lot of cardinals lately. They are so beautiful against the white snow. U....my favorite...ummm....Under the sink trash can. V is next! Sorry, trying to use my New phone if this looks weird! Have a good night!! Just got a call that school is closed tomorrow...what an odd week this has been!
