Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🥶🇺🇸...🎄

Happy Friday!  Warming up to 20's today....maybe....maybe... I will bundle up and go for a walk.  It will be more like a shuffle though watching for any ice...ugh.  

National Cookie Day, kittyfan?  I missed it! Ha!  I was just thinking the other day that I have not made Christmas cookies in a long time...😟.  Tootie, your DH is a baker, does he do Christmas cookies?

Hope your DB made it to his final destination, kittyfan.  How awful....hopping all over state.  My GS (FL) just passed his exam for Commercial Pilot's license.  😳 He isn't qualified for big jets yet...but smaller aircraft.  He is going to take DH for a flight when we go down there for Christmas.  NOT ME!

Hello friends ... hahaha walker! the garbage pickup was my entertainment for this morning!! ... not sure why they draw people's attention 😉😄 

Congratulations to your GS on getting his Commercial Pilot's license ... what an accomplishment!! 👍he's going to be thrilled to take grandpa for a flight ... (I'd stick close to the ground too 😉 mainly because I don't like to fly 😄😂)

DH does Christmas baking, but I wouldn't say they are exactly Christmas cookies ... he makes a couple varieties of cookies/bars that we don't have any other time ... coconut macaroons, chocolate bombers, marshmallow haystacks, hello dolly bars and he does some holiday pound cakes as well ... he's not (nor am I 😉) one to do cutouts ... I did when the kids were little though.

Hope you were able to get out (carefully) for your walk ... the sunshine here is helping to melt some of the snow.

Good afternoon 

Wow a pilot in the family.  I would also be firmly on the ground!

It's in the 40s again today with cloudy skies. I had a call from brothers DW last night. We had a long conversation about church stuff.  Happy to not be involved. 

I know brother was still having to deal with phone issues and then they were going to head down the road. I know packing up etc is a process. They do it so often I am sure they have it down.  When we were out my house we had items to take. He told me he had loaded the vehicle in a specific manner.  He said something about having to go by the house to reset his phone to communicate with the 🏠.

I need to do laundry 🧺. I intended to get up and get it done but that didn't happen.  

All those cookies sound delicious.  FHG loved baking. 

Walker:  hope you were able to get out safely. Last night was a 🎄 event at church.  I was reminded of a freak snow event we had. One lady said it was like a snow globe. I said no I had to navigate the highway home.  Then I couldn't open the gate to drive in so I had to walk down.  Snow in our area early December is unusual at best.  Of course I wasn't prepared clothing wise.

I made it!  Gave myself a push and went for a walk.  I was bundled up but should have had a scarf for my face.  One direction wind was in my face.  But, overall walk was good..stayed in street because it was clear and dry.  I passed a woman walking her dog and two guys running.  I guess they wanted to just "get out" too.

Those cookies sound good, Tootie.  I think I remember the Hello Dolly type...loved them...are they the ones with chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, etc?  Does your DH take online orders? 😂

I made a cake today ....super easy...a friend told me about it awhile ago. I bought ingredients then and decided I better fix it before they expire.   I think it was a Weight Watcher recipe....Angel Food Cake Mix, 1 (20 oz.) can of crushed pineapple and 1/2 cup water.  Mix, put in 9x13 pan and bake at 325 (non-stick pan) for 35-40 minutes.  Top with Cool Whip.  I took a bite...yum.  After dinner I'll have a piece with the Cool Whip on it.  Weight watchers...no guilt, eh? 🤣

kittyfan, snow in TX reminds me of snow in NC when I lived there.  Not prepared for it....I remember one mention of snow and people ran to store to get food like they would not get out of house for a month!  Driving was dangerous....no salt or sand on roads.  Everything shuts down.
