Glad you are set with your list for store, Tootie.  GO EARLY!  Monday might be better but I went today and it was getting crazy!  I just needed a few things so I was in and out.  

I had to chuckle about the cranberry sauce.  I have heard that before about the jellied sauce....slide it out!  Maybe it is the ridges.   I make my mother's recipe with a lot of sugar and brandy!  😋

Talked to brother earlier. He was at Drs apt.  I expected him at some point.  Heard a tap on the door. Nope a delivery.  Brother blows on about 8.  Brought me some grocery items. Did a few things thought of something he needed to purchase for my house. Dashed off.  They bought a different condo. They had bedroom painted. She didn't like color.  I know he will get painter toredo.  She knows what she wants.   

I am not feeling the best. May take some Tylenol and head to bed.

OK, I need to slow myself down already!!!  Tootie, take the potatoes off your grocery list.  I'll send you some...😂.

I HAVE TOO MANY!  In my hurry yesterday, I glanced at my potato recipe....saw "10" ...so I bought 10 LBS. 😳

I got home and thought...that's a lot of potatoes and I don't remember peeling that many in past".....DUH....just looked at my recipe this morning....10 potatoes NOT 10 lbs!  OY VEY!  I will be fixing potatoes for breakfast, lunch and dinner the next month.  🤣🤣🤣 DUMMY!  Send all potato recipes to dummywalker@stupid.com...haha.

The recipe I use for mashed potatoes is a fix-ahead recipe.

I make them ahead and day of I put them in crock pot to heat.  Super easy and then on Thanksgiving I free up some stove space.  This is also handy for going to DD's.  Warm at home....carry to DD's...plug back in and they stay warm until we eat. 👍  

So, Tootie, you love Christmas music, have you started Christmas decorating?  Not me....stubborn...Christmas season starts after Thanksgiving here!  I've already warned DH what we are doing next weekend.

kittyfan, sending you feel better wishes!  I hope the Tylenol helps.  I'm a Tylenol gal too when needed.  My mother used to be an aspirin lady.  She always said "I just need an aspirin and I'll feel better."  My one regret when she was in the retirement home.....she asked me to bring her some aspirin.  I said I could not do that.  Hindsight, I wish I had asked nursing staff......just give her a sugar pill...anything that looks round and white...she'll think it is her aspirin.

Oh well, sorry mom.

Babbling away today....slept better last night than night before....🤔....that was my problem yesterday....sleep deprived and I went shopping.  Do not go shopping if hungry or tired!!!  Potatoes 🥔🥔🥔 anyone?

Hello friends ... oh no walker, 10 lbs of potatoes?? ... you might have to set up a little roadside stand 😂😂 ... but I'm sure you will think of some way to use some of them up ... and here I am wondering what to do about my potatoes ... they are 5lb bags and if you buy 1 you get 1 free ... I'll probably just donate the one bag ... lesson learned, never go shopping when you are tired! 😉 ... that's a good idea about putting the potatoes in your crock pot.

Hopping back on ... I forgot to answer you about Christmas decorating ... we did put the tree up (not decorated or lit) ... and the only reason is because I bought a new (what they are calling) a tree collar ... it fits around the bottom of the tree (almost like it's in a pot or container) ... I wanted to make sure it looked ok with the tree in case I wanted to return it ... I like it, so I will keep it ... it's a rustic, burlap piece that will go with my tree decorations ... and oh yes! I am enjoying my Christmas music 😊 ... I will start decorating on Friday.

Good evening

10 lbs is a lot of potatoes. 

I was getting ready for bed last night. Received a text with a code. Brother calls needed the code. Then a second code.  The bottom line was he was trying to help me update some documents.  He couldn't complete this.  I was at the condo at the time. So he calls his wife to help.  She had trouble with his lap to so gets hers. Lined up!!!  She gave me the passwords. Well brother was at my house and had difficulty. Last night he got home and mentioned it to her she jumped into action. 

I think it is resolved. So many things to deal with!!!

This afternoon she called. We chatted for over an hour.  She said brother was busy at the other condo.

About six the door opens. Brother arrived with some food items.  He also brought me some Christmas decor. Even though he said he didn't believe in Christmas until Thanksgiving. He hung some decor on the patio door.  Have some items for outside the door next week.  I have a mini tree from last year in the storage  room.

Then we grabs my laundry. Off to laundry room. Sweeps and mops. Got my clothes out of dryer. Put everything away.  We chatted a bit. Then he was off!   I do miss him when he is at his other house!   

Tomorrow he will go to my house with the contractor. Roof was done. Needs to aprove next steps.  

He has appointment on Monday. I will go with him. For labs. He doesn't have a problem pushing for service!

Happy Sunday!  Waiting on weather report here....think we will be near 50 for a couple of days and then downhill it goes...wondering when to put outside decorations up...🥶.

I prefer to wait until after Thanksgiving....we'll see.

kittyfan, sounds like DB is getting you ready for the holidays!  Amazing guy!  I guess we can look at it as Thanksgiving is late....less time for Christmas preparations so start early! 🤷‍♀️

Tootie, I laughed about the potato stand.  Maybe not in this weather...haha.  Or, I could also offer mimosas and I would stay warm drinking those ..🥂🥔😂.  DH has suggested French Fries...might try making some.  I'll let you know what good recipes I come up with....after Thanksgiving.

Good luck with physical tomorrow and shopping, Tootie.  You do get early appointments.....probably smart....no waiting!  If you don't check-in here before, I won't be concerned.

Tootie:  you like those early appointments. Not a fan of that early!  

Brother and the contractor were at my house   video call.  Got to say hello to my neighbor.  He was Mr Jake's favorite. If he heard his truck would dash over!  I was able to give them some information.  I know brother would like to do some additional things. Some will be on hold.  Tax season is coming up fast.  

I have a standing order for labs. Brother has a ointment for his. He has a way of getting things done. I went to a specialist I did not like. Was referred to same Dr by another DR.  Brother called a favor and got me in to see the best in town. Long wait to get an appointment  But Drs have apts set aside for Dr referrals. We both really like this doctor.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, thanks for explaining about your labs ... God Bless your DB! it seems he has an "in" with just about anybody and anything ... glad you like your Doctor as that is half the battle ... nice that you got to visit with your old neighbor.

walker, we're going to be close to 50 today too ... I told DH this would be the best day to put up the outdoor decorations ... we only have a few things to put out ... rain is expected for the rest of the week ... if you have the time, I say go for it ... my snowman and nativity scene will be sitting in the pumpkin patch for a few days ... 😂

Yes, I do like my early appointments ... I always get the first appointment of the day (I've always been an early bird) ... no waiting and I'm in and out!
