Happy Saturday!  Rolling through October beautifully!  I've been telling people that it will continue through January...HA!  A girl can dream!  😆

Good news on DB, kittyfan.  Tootie is right, maybe he will learn UBs are a good thing....slowing down is good too...it can be done...🤞😉.  Of course, you have been trying that message for a long time.  Never give up!

Last night DH and I had two leftover hamburgers from grilling earlier in the week. Yum..still good.  I suggested before grilling season is over maybe DH could grill several burgers and we will keep some in freezer for winter.  OR...if we are to have a milder winter....keep grill out.  Good idea, Tootie?  We can bundle the DH out to grill...😂.

Countdown to 🎃👻🤡👹..Halloween and 🚗 road trip...I have my candy for Halloween and setting aside some food for GA lake house.  I will be chief cook for guys for the week.  They can take me out too..👍.  DIL will be teaching so not coming on this trip.

Good evening 

Brother called this afternoon.  He is getting cabin fever.  His DW was there also.  The doctor is saying maybe Monday but some things need to process.  He is getting bored with the liquid diet. He has IVs and stepped to facilities. When he returned I could tell he was dragging.  I told him to mind his DW.  

Their son took the dog to his house. He recently lost his two dogs. He does have a cat who rules the house. I know she will be happy to have them home so she can come back home.   I think this dr won't release him until all is well.  I know you hit the wall at three days but I want him to stay until all is well.  I know he won't cut back.

kittyfan, I can imagine that DB is getting frustrated being in the hospital ... we all know that he likes to be out and about! and I think you're right, he may realize that it is time to slow things down ... sending good vibes to you all!! 🙏

walker, I think that's a great idea about keeping the grills out for the winter ... I can see it now, snowing and blowing out, "we're having steaks on the grill tonight, can you get the grill started??" 😄😂 ... that's a good idea about doing burgers on the grill and then reheating ... do you have an air fryer? I do and I think the burgers would turn out great ... we have even cooked hot dogs in ours when rain ruined our grilling plans ... they turned out pretty good ... not the same as grilled, but pretty darn close! 

We're doing chicken on the grill tonight ... still trying to get that propane down so when we do the "rolling" it's not too heavy ... and we're still in our sunny and dry stretch of weather ... today a high of 65!

Happy Sunday!  Last week of October 😳...whoooosh....the beautiful days flying by!  Halloween week too....not my favorite holiday but I have candy ready...my traditional M&M's...good for toddlers and big kids too.

kittyfan, sending many good wishes to DB...get well soon and slow down going forward.  One day at a time ....life in the slow lane is ok.  😉 

I do not have an air fryer, Tootie, but know people rave about it.  I laugh at thought of bundling up DH with snow and winds blowing to grill.  Chances are slim and none but a milder winter is predicted! 🤷‍♀️🤞 

I tried that pork tenderloin recipe posted here.  It was ok but I prefer my usual way to prepare it in the oven.  

No news in my world....going to DD's for dinner...time to get caught up on things there.

walker, you're right! time is flying by ... I was watching the Q yesterday and they kept mentioning it was 2 months until Christmas!! 😱 ... I've got to get started on my shopping for the kids and BG has his birthday in December too! I'll have to get a list from the kids ... 😄😂 (I can just see it now! 😉) ... hope you had a good dinner!

No news in Dullsville ... and no plans for today, just the usual chores to get done.

Happy Monday!  Cooling down but still very nice and FALLish.  Yesterday when I took my walk I had a blast from the past thought.  As a kid....maybe even when my kids were little....we would go out in the fall to collect pretty leaves.  Then we would iron them between pieces of wax paper(under a towel😉)....kind of frame them.  Did you ever do that, Tootie?  A thing to do in the north, of course.

I realized that we are two months away from Christmas too, Tootie.  Can't wait to hear what BG and LS have on their lists.  Busy season here as well with birthdays next month and in December....Thanksgiving first!  YUM!

We had a good time at DD's yesterday.  Always good to get together and doesn't happen often enough with busy schedules.  GS usually tries to trick me on believing certain things.  Had one of his "gotcha" moments.  He has applied to four colleges....one in Arizona...😢...too far...oh well, not my decision.

Countdown to road trip 🚗 ....busy week and I have to renew my driver's license 🤞.  At least I only have to take a vision test.  They FINALLY did away with some of the requirements for seniors...i.e. road test 🙄...until reaching an "older" age.

Good morning.  

Two months!   Yes I know the kids will have lots of wish items.  

Walker:   oh applying at four schools. 

They started a Sunday brunch here yesterday. I was underwhelmed but just my thought. I have a neighbor who is very open about his mental health struggles. He has started piling things  outside his door. I am not sure what is going on but I wish him well.

Last night I was getting political calls.  I am ready for the election to be over. My mailbox was full of ads.  And the catalogs are arriving. Texas grapefruit are no longer a possibility but I hope others enjoy.

I talked with brother earlier. He is looking forward to going home but I think he realizes he needs to not push it.  Will see if that lasts.  His DW got to go home for a few hours. Of course she did laundry etc. She was able to shower at home also,  it runs in the family.  But I told her she needed a break from the hospital   and the dog was happy to see her.  Their son lives only a few blocks away and has been taking care oh her. 

I know the road trip has you planning. Cooking for the fellas.

I am so tired of the political stuff too....one more week of it. I have to believe everyone is tired of it.   We voted last week since we will be gone.  Times have sure changed.  I have never seen it so bad.  ☹️

No news here....nice day but a bit windy....the trees are really popping now....beautiful red and orange trees.
