Happy Tuesday!  Swinging on the porch with DS....delightful...peaceful....coffee good..👍.  Glad ya'll are doing good too.

Tootie, I laughed at comment on DB and UBs.  Some day the light will come on (kittyfan hopes) and he will realize what he has been missing. 🤞

We went to a cute little town at edge of Blue Ridge Mountains last night...shopped and had dinner....came back to a bonfire and "s'mores".  Today we are going to another nearby town.  I guess it is German.  GS said he wants to have a German beer with grandpa.  He just turned 21..😉.

kittyfan, I can't imagine triple-digit temperatures...daily..ugh.  We had a few of those "heat index" days of 100 a couple of weeks ago...enough.

Walker:  your adventures sound lovely.  Yes sharing with granddad!   The bonfire sounded like a good time.  

Tootie:  yes good news to your eye appointment. Choosing glasses is a chore 

The Q site has been giving me problems again.  Finally able to log on.  

Yes UBs are great.  I don't think brother can be convinced. He is up and on the go.  Too many irons in the fire.  I did see him this evening. He did my grocery run.   I had talked with his DW earlier.  She said he was out and about but heading my way at some point!  I never know when he will appear.  

I saw the damage of the tornados in the Wisconsin area. Weather can certainly change lives in the blink of an eye.

kittyfan, glad you were able to get passed those darn gremlins and sign on ... haha, DB keeps you on your toes, you never know when he'll appear! ... I saw the damage in WI too! ... I shouldn't be complaining about our weather, it could be a lot worse!!

walker, every post you post, makes your getaway sound better and better ... your shopping excursion reminds of a quaint, little town you'd see in a Hallmark movie 😊 ... oh wow! your GS is 21!! hope he enjoyed his beer with grandpa ...

We were outside for about 30 minutes yesterday ... it was too humid! ... today 77 with some rain.

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️⛅️🇺🇸

Happy Wednesday!  Pleasant morning but warming up quickly.  We had a storm go through last night.  Kind of neat sitting on porch watching it.  Then rains blew our way so went inside.  I heard about bad storms in Wisconsin too. Some hit home area too.   A neighbor sent me a message about it and our area.  Fortunately, all ok at our house. 

LONG day yesterday.....started out with a hike to see waterfalls on our way to little German town.  GS idea...🙄.  Me? ..hiking😧...no.....but, I did go part way...saw lower falls and turned around with DH.  Rest of group went further and GS jumped in water...ha.  After that it was off to town and lunch.  GS got his German beer with grandpa....took cute picture of them.  It was too warm to enjoy much shopping through town.  We just went inside and out of air-conditioned stores on way back to cars.  We drove two cars so GS, DIL and niece went "tubing" down the river there.  I went back with DS and DH via a stop at the big box HD store so guys could get more supplies for today's project.  I followed them around store...people watching...ha.

BIG excitement last night.....during night we heard noise outside.....first I thought DS was up....then thought maybe raccoons.....back to sleep.  This morning discovered a BEAR 😳 had gotten into the trash can (near our bedroom)....took a bag of garbage out and dragged it up the hill (woods all around here).  YIKES!  DS discovered it this morning.  Mama Mia!

On with the day, GS and cousin (niece) are heading back to FL today.  We stay until Friday.  DS and DIL return home on Sunday.  Always a revolving door of activity here.
