The web has been wonky for me.  It is toasty here.  Triple digits back next week.   

Walker---yes the fellas enjoy swapping their stories.  My dad talked a lot about his military service.  Before my uncle passed I spent hours with him listening to his stories and looking at his pictures. 

Tootie:  yes chilly to play in the sprinkler.  But I know they had a good time at your house. 

The SO carousel continues. Three people leaving on my hall this weekend vheard another couple leaving. They were instrumental in the church here. He did sound and she provided graphics. 

I was late getting up this morning. Strange dreams. 

Lucy and Desi should be at destination. Enjoying the new frontier.

Happy Saturday!  We made it!!!  Barely!  I am soooo tired...two days of travel and getting lost at end.  We had to get off main highway and travel east through northern Georgia.  Plan was to meet DS at store to pick up groceries, supplies, etc.  On the way, DH had notes written for route but we were unsure.  So he asked me "what does Waze say?"   In fairness, Waze has been helpful before but this time it didn't help that roads were not marked well.  Long story short, I knew we were lost in back woods.  Thank God for cell phones.  I got ahold of DS ..... he said you are too far south and got us going in right direction.  Whew!  We met, got what was needed and on our way here...following DS!  I am fading already and it is only 8:00.  I'll try to stay up until 9:00.  Think we will all be in bed early.

DS and DH already talking about projects.  This is a very nice place but with it comes maintenance.  DS wanted to put up fence for dogs.  But, then they discovered some boards on dock area need replacing.  Oh boy....

Tootie, I bet the kids enjoy their time with you.  Do they still water the flowers?  kittyfan, more people leaving SO?

Wonder why ....or maybe you know....you must be the senior resident now.

All for now......I'll be in touch again tomorrow.

oh boy kittyfan, pretty soon you're going to be all by your lonesome at SO ... do they fill those rooms after someone leaves? ... doesn't management realize that something must be wrong for so many to be leaving?

Yay walker! glad you made it, even with the small mishap at the end ... it sounds like you will have a busy week ... but I'm sure you don't mind and are glad to be with family! ... remember to get a lot of UB's in too!! ... hope you have good weather too!

Yes, the kids do love to come here ... they have their moments, but we do enjoy having them!! we have them 2 days a week, mom is home on one day and DS works from home the other 2 days ... I wish they would have put them in some kind of summer program, but I keep my comments to myself! ... things are a lot different from my kids were small ... more kids to play with on the block ... they were outside pretty much all day long.

Happy Sunday!  Ready for coffee!  Cloudy morning and a brief shower just went through.  Oh....sun just popped out..👍.

I had a good night's rest....very comfortable cabin...3BRs, 2 Baths, big porch across front overlooking lake....with a swing for grandma! 😁 I'll be taking many UBs there....swinging away. They have kayaks and a canoe here but I don't think I'll be using them.  That would be a real Lucy adventure....🙀🛶

I agree, Tootie, that things were different when our kids were growing up.  Children outside playing....now I rarely see that in our neighborhood.  All activities are organized or they are just inside watching TV or on devices 🙄.  You are smart to not say anything about programs for the kids.  

kittyfan, hope DB is back in town soon to help with your tech issues.

All for now....no plans except swing and watch DS and DH run around doing projects...ha!

Good afternoon

My tech gremlins are still around. Got up this morning. Showed WIFi was on but it wouldn't connect. I finally got that resolved.  Brother is back for a brief soujourn.  He did get my pC to come back up.   They will be heading out in the next several days.  I try to get him to take care of all my tasks while he is here.  

He will go to the grocery for me.  

Walker:  your escape sounds delightful. Canoe and kayak are not for people of a certain age!   Yes I know the fellas are enjoying their projects.  

Tootie:  I know the kids enjoy their time.  Just enough time to enjoy them and send them home.  

Oh yes driving directions. Maze is good but sometimes around the 🌎 to get to your destination.  At least your son could guide you to meet up.

kittyfan, glad that you are able to get some of your tech issues resolved on your own and with the help of DB, I hope he can get it all taken care of you!! ... good idea to give him your "to do" list before he heads back 😉 ... and I bet it gets it all done!! 😄

walker, a porch, a swing and a view of the lake? 💌 a perfect spot to enjoy your day!! ... I haven't been in a canoe since my teen years we would paddle around in one at my grandparents cottage ... but, I'm with you now ... enjoy that from your "perch" on the porch 😉😊 ... it sounds like a very nice cabin.

Early eye appointment and then off to my second home 😄 ... grocery store! ... time to restock for the kids.

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️☁️🇺🇸

Happy Monday!  The lake life must be agreeing with me.  I slept in....nothing to hurry for...just sit and rock the time away...ha.  Last night we had a bonfire....with "s'mores"..😋.  Tomorrow we will go out and explore the area....a "field trip"..😂.  

DH and DS are working like beavers.  Yesterday they tore out and replaced a dock.  Today they are finishing it with steps and railing.  DIL and GS are assembling two cabinets/dressers for bedrooms.  Their niece is here too for a few days.  She is a cute gal....works as an EMT back home...glad to have her here...😉.  She is pursuing a career in medicine.  Grandma watches world go by....fixing food, reading and having coffee with friends! 👍 I brought my walking shoes but no way here....hills and more hills...mountainside area..beautiful but not for walking. 

kittyfan, glad DB is there to take care of things for you.  Must be quiet, for now, there with people moving out.

Tootie, hope eye appointment went well.  The grocery store sure is a second home!  I'm glad to have a break from mine ....wonder if they miss me? HA!

Oh the lake House sounds lovely.   The guys are busy doing tasks. 

Brother called me about ten.  He was getting tired service. He said he planned to be up and out by 7.  Woke up at 9 to the dog wanting to go out.  I keep telling him he needs to get some rest.  

We are toasty here. Triple digits for us.

kittyfan, one of these days DB is going to discover UB's and wonder where they were all his life 😉 ... ugh, triple digit 🥵 ... stay cool!!

walker, it sounds like the cabin is in a beautiful mountainside area ... hills, hills and water ... peaceful! but maybe not while the work is going on ... it sounds like everyone has a job to do! ... I love the idea of swinging on that porch taking it all in ... enjoy!!

Eye appointment went well ... not a real big change so doc said it wasn't necessary to get new glasses (unless I want to) ... I am not going to ... I hate going for new ones!! too many choices!! and I'm happy with the ones I have.

A rainy day here ... high of a humid 78 degrees, ugh!! that means it's an indoors day here with the kids ... (unless we get a long break in the rain)
