walker, I guess I can say that you and DB "have been around" 😄😂 ... it sounds like you and DB have to visit Nevada ... his list will be complete and then he may just have to go to Rhode Island and Alaska again, and you will be done too!! 

We had a ton of fireworks going off in our neighborhood!! ... and about 1:30am I heard sirens ... got up to look and saw that the house a couple doors down in back of us was on fire!! 😯 I can't say for sure, but right away I thought of the fireworks!! ... the house is a mess and workers were already there this morning boarding the windows ... our roof and backyard is scattered with burnt pieces of their house!!  ... I hope that everyone got out ok.

We'll have a cloudy 79 degree day ...

Happy Sunday!  On we go with summer.....4th celebration done🥳 and T&T🩷 are married!  Forward march....😉😂!  Oh, still have soccer⚽️ mania to go.  Our weather is cooling off a bit....hooray.

It was a very quiet 4th here except for late night fireworks!

We did have more rain late afternoon which spoiled some BBQ plans.  I enjoyed the programming I watched.  But, it went very late so I missed the fireworks in D.C.  I'll catch reruns today...😁.

Tootie, what a shame to end the 4th with a house fire.  Very unsettling indeed.  Let us know when you learn more...hopefully, residents ok.

kittyfan, DB on the go again.  Can leave town....lawn mowed...ha!

Not sure when or how I will finish my USA travels...could go to Alaska this summer as DH's brother and sister-in-law are there (nephew lives there).  But, DH not motivated to make trip..☹️....we'll see.  Maybe Nevada next year on way to visit DH's other brother in CA for a big birthday.  We'll see......RI...I'll just have to fly in and out...ha!

I missed the tall ships and the statue of liberty 🗽 tour.   I did enjoy the Macy's fireworks 🎇 

I talked to brother last night. He said airport was very busy.  

That fire was too close.  I know in the past fireworks had started fires around here. 

Darn gremlins.

walker, it sounds like Nevada may be closer than you think! maybe it will happen!!

There were actually two houses that were involved in the fire and luckily no one was injured! ... it started in a garbage tote next to a garage ... garage went up and spread to that house and the one next door ... I'm still blaming fireworks because the guy that lives in the house where the fire started was having a hey day with them that night ... 🤷‍♀️

Moanday Monday ...  I have chores to do that I let go over the weekend ... no other plans ...

Happy Monday!  Nice morning.....cooler...👏...I am giving the A/C a break today.  👏👏

That was quite a fire there, Tootie. Thankfully, no one injured but a lot of house damage. I agree with you on fireworks.....someone may have tossed hot fireworks in garbage can.  I remember growing up and lighting sparklers,  we always had to put the sparklers in a bucket of water overnight.  

Not surprised DB found airport busy, kittyfan.  But, he is used to it.  I saw on news that O'Hare had a lot of delays...probably weather related.  We have had so many storms lately.

No news......time to get the day started.....hope you have a nice one.   On we go...second half of the year....yikes!

Hello again....P.M. version....😁.....nice day but I did end up putting A/C back on....just a bit warm..not enough breeze for me...but, beautiful day.

I had a "cookie" day......manicure and pedicure....sure do think of her and smile.  My nails needed the TLC ....looking good now.  My gal usually says..."where are you going?" but today I told her it was just for me! 😊

After a hot week with quick dinners, I got hungry for spaghetti 🍝 so made the sauce..yum...ready to eat! A DH favorite too....that and hamburgers on grill...ha!

Yes Ms. Cookie enjoyed her spa days.  We do find AC is a necessary comfort. 

My neighbor decided to turn a sprinkler on.  I didn't have a problem until I looked out and saw my patio and the dog yard were being drenched. Finally another neighbor saw it and turned the volume down.   I don't have news

ugh kittyfan, a wet patio! I know it's just water but not when it's from someone elses hose ... you have pups going in and out! ... DH was always cautious about where the spray was going when he would put the sprinkler out ...

oh yum! spaghetti!! ... that's a favorite here too!! ... we made it without the A/C yesterday ... it's a cool 68 right now but it's going up to 80 but with humidity, so I think we'll need the A/C.

I know it's probably too soon for the people with the burned houses to do anything yet but it smells really bad this morning and pieces of ash (or whatever) are blowing into the yards.

Happy Tuesday!  Another nice day ahead...back to my walks.....no turtle or crane sightings recently....ha.  

kittyfan....good H with the hamburger...sorry about thoughtless neighbor....good thing your dogs were not out at the time......wet dogs....not good.

Tootie, unfortunately, you will have to deal with smell and ash for awhile...😟....that will spoil time outside on patio or with kids.

DH made an early appointment for some car maintenance so guess I'll join him for early breakfast.  Then, I'll enjoy more ☕️😁.

Good evening 

Breakfast\brunch out is a favorite of mine. 

A few years ago there was a fire in my neighborhood. Talk of arson.  Not sure what the story was or if that was gossip.mmtherecwerevvehicles in the driveway not affected. However there was crime scene vtape up for several months. Then the vehicles were removed. It still took months for any other work to begin.  I don't know any details. I did not know the people and it wasn't my rodeo thankfully.  I am sure insurance has to be involved before work can begin
