Good morning friends ... kitchen opened ... button pushed!!

Poor Jake ... I hope he is feeling better ... those cones don't make it easy for dogs!! ... with DB sending a pic of the grass, I bet it gets cut soon ... good luck with your appointment.

The graduation was was short and sweet walker ... it only lasted a half hour ... they sang 3 songs, then (each child) said their name and what they wanted to be and got their "dipolmas" ... the kids were real cute and the consensus is that the boys are going to be policemen and the girls, princesses!! 😄😂 ... later on we went our for dinner to celebrate!! ... BG graduates on the 22nd, but not sure I'll be able to go ... depends on DH's therapy schedule.

High of 79 with a "chance" of thunderstorms ... I'm hoping to get a haircut this morning ... 🤞that my girl is there!

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🌤️🇺🇸

Happy Friday!  Nice morning here after stormy night.  I was afraid we would lose power as lights flickered....fortunately it remained on.  But, not so lucky across street....theirs went out.  Very odd but I guess we are connected to different lines or grids.  Usually our side goes out.  I was relieved.  Fortunately, within two hours it was on again.

You don't realize how much you take for granted!

kittyfan, lots going on there....poor Jake...hope he (and you) don't have to deal with the cone for long.  Good luck with your appointment today.....don't return with a cone too..😂😂😂....sorry, couldn't resist.

Tootie, what a fun day for you yesterday with LS.  I laughed at future careers.....policemen and princesses....cute...very typical responses.  If you aren't able to go to BG's program, he will give you a detailed report...😉.  Hope you get your haircut today.  Next week you will be busy!

Good evening

Finally found a doctor that checked the boxes.  He is in the same facility with another of my doctors. Thus he has access to my records and know what  tests and procedures we have completed already.  Lab was right there so another plus. I was due to have a specific test but he assured me this was included and the other doctor would have access. 

I was waiting in the lobby when I thought I saw brother drive up. It was too hot to wait outside. I was just a step away when my phone rings. Yes brother was calling me. Didn't see me coming up.  We did the appointment. It was a hike to the office. Traffic was a nightmare.  One drawback but I followed the other doctor when he moved his practice to this venue. Brother stopped to pick up dinner. He made a stop to find something for Jake.  He took me home and left to do a conference call.  Three hours later he calls me. Multiple stops. Just getting home.  Always on the go!   

Of the princesses.  The imagination of the littles.  Sponges. Taking it all in.

Brother told me that at the vet Jake thought he needed to be a lap dog!  He thought the floor was a good idea.  

It was a toasty day here. I saw on the news more bad weather in the Midwest.

Good news on a doctor that you like kittyfan ... and the labs are there too! ... win ... win!! ... 

Glad you didn't lose power walker ... it's weird the way they have th have the grid lines set up ... we're right in the middle of our block with two transformers on the lines ... so sometimes just half of our block could be out ... luckily it doesn't happen to often ... agree about the Lock 'n Locks!!

Got my haircut and she did a good job ... she talked just a little bit 😉 ... and DH is scheduled for surgery at 8:15am, we have to be there two hours earlier, so I don't think I'll be on Monday ... I'll try to get on at some point though.

Happy Saturday!  Sunny and cool....right now.  I turned off the A/C yesterday and opened house up....let the dirt/dust blow in......ahhhhh....so nice.  I think tonight might be a grill night...🍔.

kittyfan, good news on the doctor, etc.  As Tootie said.."win-win" there. In TX everything is miles apart..ha. When my doctor left local area, I followed her several miles...worth it.  And, now, she is back closer to me...👍.

Countdown to surgery for you and DH, Tootie.  We'll be thinking of you/DH here with 🙏s for successful surgery...in, out and back on his feet!  Monday will be a long day but check in whenever you can.....I'll try to push the right button for coffee...😉. 

Life rolling along....nothing to report or babble about..😆.

Good evening. 

Ditto on Tootie and the surgery. I have spent too much time in those waiting rooms. 

It was hot 🔥 here today. Brother went to the house. Mowed and mowed some more. Push mower, riding mower and tractor.  Then the contractor came and moved a bit.  There is plenty to mow.  I was watching him on camera to be sure he took breaks and hydrated.   When he finished he showered and changed.  I had a quiet day.   

I checked my labs on the portal.  Jake is still navigating with his cone. He had some difficulty with the doggie door but earlier he was trying to arrange his blanket on his bed. He was unsuccessful at that venture.

Gee, DB just never gives up!! cutting grass in your heat! glad you were able to keep tabs on him ... poor Jake, I hope he found some way to be comfortable on blanket ...

Haha walker, letting the dirt/dust blow in 😄 it's natures way of staying cool 😉😂 ... I did the same thing yesterday!! ... thanks for getting the coffee pot started.

Happy Sunday!  Happy 🇺🇸 Day!  Nice greeting for the day, Tootie!  As soon as rain moves out here, we can put our flag up.  Later I will take a walk and see how many neighbors do the same.  Probably less than 50%.  The last time most homes had flag out was after 9/11...beautiful!

DB had quite the lawn job there, kittyfan, and in the heat..🥵.  Good you kept an eye on him.  Hope your labs turned out ok...and Jake can be cone-free soon.

Sending all good thoughts your way, Tootie, for tomorrow and DH's surgery.  Up early and go!  Soon this will be done and DH will feel better.👍
