Oh kittyfan, I hope with your warmer temps that your A/C doesn't give you any problems ... or did they give you a new unit? ... it sounds like you have a lot of activity of moving in and out at SO.

walker, the kids last day of school is June 24 ... BG will be in 1st grade and LS in kindergarten next year ... we're going to watch them 2 days a week during the summer, sometimes once a week depending on DIL's schedule.

I had a win, win, win day yesterday ... fridge/freezer cleaned out, pantry cleaned out and DH got an appointment and was cleared!! ... now he waits to be scheduled!! hoping sooner rather than later!!

Happy Friday!  It is cloudy here and humid....rain expected but nice breeze now.  I think A/C will be on later.

OH HAPPY DAY at your house, Tootie!  You had a good day all around there.  Good news for your DH....now to wait again.  I bet they will reschedule him soon...🤞.

Next year "big school" for both of the kids...bye-bye daycare....good for parents.  😉

kittyfan, soon you will be the "senior" resident of SO.

I have a haircut appointment this afternoon...🤞🤞..hoping it will be a trim.  I'll try to emphasize that again.  I'll try to limit the talking...not easy...she is friendly.  I cancelled appointment two weeks ago so didn't want to cancel again.  I do need just "shaping" up.  Stay tuned...😁.

S.  Hopping back on......Tootie, I know you like David and I do too.  Did you notice home page here...on left under TSV ....picture of David?  It is not good!  The shirt makes him look like he weighs 300 lbs.  He just lost a lot of weight too.  He may have put a few back on but not that much.  Message to Q and David 😉.....take that photo down.....my opinion.

Hi there....haircut update...💇‍♀️....success!!  Finally!  Once again, I was very specific and she got it.  I said I really don't need a cut since my hair isn't growing as fast. TRIM!  Trying to get one length in back so she knew what I wanted...made her suggestion and it was good.  Then she said she would not charge me for full haircut.  I paid more than she mentioned but not usual cut charge.  So....good to go for the next month.  👍 Now that we are on same page, hope she doesn't disappear...ha!  

Then I went to my meat/fish store.  I was at seafood counter and regular man there asked if I knew about the other guy who always wants me to speak Spanish.  He had a stroke at the store recently.  😳 Shocked...guy is probably in his 50's. Man who told me seemed very concerned. Not much other news so I'll have to check back on him next time.  

No other news .... about time to work some dinner magic in kitchen.  Have a good evening.  See you tomorrow.

Oh success all around. Good haircut and okay from dr.  Also getting things cleaned out and organized. 

We are hearing about younger people having medical events.

We had a rain event about 7 this morning. Then about five we had a downpour. I saw reports of 6 inches not far from me. Flash flood warnings out this evening. 

All the littles are growing up fast.  And Walkers are getting ready to spread their wings. 

No news in my 🌎.  Closing kitchen. ☕

I think we're following your weather kittyfan ... we're going to have a rainy, rainy day ... it's absolutely pouring right now! 

So glad you got a good trim, walker! and nice that she gave you a discounted price too! (I've never had that experience) 

We had the kids last night for a little while ... super energy! and I was so glad that we could let them run, run, run outside!! bubbles were a big hit!! BG was in charge of the bubble machine and LS would chase after him popping the bubbles!! 😄 I can see we're going to have a busy summer two days a week 😉

DH talked with the scheduler yesterday and they're trying to get him in within a couple of weeks!! 🤞🤞🤞

No plans today ... and since it's a rainy day, it just may be a UB day!!

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🌤️🇺🇸

Happy Saturday!  Steamy Saturday here..rain yesterday and overnight...now 99% humidity...ugh.  It will probably be an inside day for me for that reason.  A/C on! DH said "how did we live without it?"  I remember hot weather growing up but not humidity...no A/C in our house....just fans and awnings over windows to help keep it cooler.

kittyfan, funny you should mention that X for XL eggs.  Yesterday at store I needed eggs.  I always open carton to check for cracked ones.  I picked up XL eggs and thought to myself...if these are XL...then large must be bird eggs!

So many varieties now too.

Get ready for summertime, Tootie, stock up on bubbles and other outdoor activities.  Hope that surgery can be arranged soon.  "Git 'er done", eh?

Don't bring it back...ha!  Like I have anything to do with that....ha.

I have started going through my cookbooks in an effort to "get rid of stuff".  I seem to have collected them over the years.  It is time to donate them.  So far I have three ready to go.  I've copied a few recipes I "might" fix.  Who needs cookbooks when you can go online for recipes?  I like them though.  Now, if I could find a place for my encyclopedias....no one will take them!  Might have to go to the landfill...😟.

We had rain through the night. A few areas has lots of rain and some flooding.

I talked to brothers adW. They had lots of overnight rain also.  June begins hurricane season. Since they are close to the coast that is an issue for them.  Since they recently moved there it is an adjustment.  

Today was laundry bday. Still have to fold everything.

kittyfan, I guess no matter where one lives, there is always some kind of weather issue ... hope it doesn't get too bad for DB/DW ... my magic ball tells me you will be folding laundry today 😉

I cleaned my cookbooks out a couple of years ago, walker ... only kept a handful ... some that were given to me as gifts or passed down from family ... I have my grandmothers (rip) Betty Crocker Cooking for Two cookbook, I don't really use it anymore but it's hard to get rid of ... and when the kids come over, BG loves to look through the Betty Crocker Cake Cookbook with grandpa ... he's been doing this for years! 

I donated the cookbooks (ones in good condition) to the library ... and oh boy, encylopedia's?? ... no one wanted them, so we put them in paper bins (ones that are in school/church parking lots) along with the worn out cookbooks ... not sure that is exactly where they should have gone, but figured a book has paper?? ... I hated to just put them in the garbage ... good luck with your clean out!

We had some heavy, heavy rain last night after dinner ... thunder right over the house knocked a bird decoration off my wall! ... today we should have a dry 76 degree day!!

Happy Sunday!  Warm and muggy weather continues...A/C time!  I hope I can get out for a walk this morning while it is somewhat cool.

Hurricane season is always a concern especially for those close to the coast. That is how I feel in March when it is beginning of tornado season here.   I worry about kids in FL but they are center state...indirect hit not quite as bad as direct.  Good luck to DB and DW, kittyfan.

Tootie, thanks for mentioning your cookbook/encyclopedia story.  I still have my Betty Crocker cookbook...cover is pretty worn after 52 years.  I'm up to about 8 books ready to go....giving good ones to library too.  Cute about BG and his grandpa looking at cake cookbook....maybe another baker in the house.  I agree on encyclopedias....just hate to put them in garbage...they do have paper so maybe the recycle bin is good idea.
