Gobble...Gobble....I'm starting to wobble already...ha!

I baked two of that Butter Pecan Bread recipe so I could try one.  I'm glad I did because I don't care for it.  It was ok but didn't wow me like I thought it would.  DH liked it.  I said that's good because we have two loaves to eat now...not giving one away....in the freezer it went.  Then I baked my blueberry muffin recipe....it makes 24 muffins or 12 and 2 mini-loaves which I did.  This recipe I know and is good so I will take some tomorrow for morning after big day.  

kittyfan, hope you enjoy your day with DB and DW tomorrow.  I know you will...no need to wonder.

Tootie....you too...have fun with family.  Get ready for wind!  Oh my gosh, the winds have been blowing all day!

oh recipe fail.  Glad you had another opinion.  I have yet another maintenance issue. I was in the shower went I heard a pop.  Water every where. Will deal with this on Friday.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, oh no! a water issue?!! 

walker, sorry your Pecan Bread didn't turn out like you wanted it to (even though your DH liked it! 😉) ... it's so annoying when you make something and it's not what you expected ... blueberry muffins/bread is a safe bet!

We got all our prep work done yesterday and now I have to pack it all up to bring to DS's.

We ended up getting about 2 inches of snowy slush ... but boy, walker, you were right! we had a wicked wind!! ... I had to retrieve my big snowflake that I had staked out in the front garden (I don't turn them on until after Thanksgiving) it pulled right out of the ground and was on the front lawn ... more wind, rain and snow today!

I hope you both have a wonderful day!! ... I am grateful to have friends like you!!

The wind has finally stopped!  It was bad yesterday.  Next up comes the snow this weekend.  I'll be hibernating!

Good morning friends ... what a nice Thanksgiving message walker! ... 

We had a nice day yesterday ... good food and fun with family! ... the kids were so excited to watch the Macy Day Parade and to see Santa ... 

We didn't get any more snow yesterday but this wind will not stop!! ... we have a piece of siding that pulled away from the house and it is "hanging on by a thread" ... too high up for DH to fix so he is going to call the company that did our siding years ago (same one that just did our bathroom)

Happy Friday!  It is getting colder out....🥶.  I'm waiting on weather report to get weekend forecast❄️...not looking good....8" possible.  Today is suppose to be ok.

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, Tootie....family and good food...can't miss.  kittyfan, hope your day went well too with feast by DB! 😊

We had a good time as well....delicious meal.  I was hoping I would be offered some leftovers...ha...did not happen.

Hope you can get the siding fixed, Tootie.  Sounds like a good company that give good customer service.  Winds were severe. kittyfan, I think you have another repair there...a pop noise and water recently?  

All for now.  I was going to get some Christmas decorations out today.  Instead it will be tomorrow.  Today I have to speed read through a book that is due tomorrow and can't be renewed.  I think I have about 100 pages to go.  Then this afternoon we have a basketball game to go to for GS...it is a tournament this week.

Good morning

I had a lovely day with brother and his D W.  He picked me up late morning.  Lots of folks leaving here.  He buzzed around the kitchen.   His son (family) was cooking also asking for recipe help!   His wife does not cook!  He wasn't pleased with the dressing but it was good.  In brother fashion he jumps up to clean the kitchen!  Then he needs to organize the pantry.  This also meant getting the vacuum out!  I know that is him.  We brought me home and put my kitchen back together.  Discussed some things and finally he was off.  He mentioned going to my house 🏠 at 6 am for a deal.  I think he decided to order on line. No I wasn't going with him.  

This morning I got up to place my maintenance request.  Brother said he could fix it but no he has too much on his agenda and I pay enough rent. On my way back I was stopped by another resident. He is blind and needed assistance with his tv. I couldn't help but I did stop another lady. She went to the desk and when she arrived I came back 

Brother said he would be back today but hopefully he slept in.  Still has a few things to complete. Heading out of town early next week.  His D W needs a COVID shot 💉 but he needs to be around if she has issues. She is prone to reactions. 

We are expecting cold weather ☁️ ☁️ and rain but hopefully no snow 🌨️ 🌨️ 🌨️

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, glad you had a good dinner with DB and family ... "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" ...  DB's son sounds just like him!! ... hopefully, maintenance can get your water issue taken care of ... sooner, than later!

walker, glad that you had a good dinner too! ... laughed at you having to "speed read" your book, did you get it done?? ... I can't see you bringing your book to the basketball game 😉😄😂... hope it was a good game!! ... good luck with your decorating, I'll see you in the basement 😄 I'm going to be digging through totes today too!! 

Our siding is not fixed yet ... they were closed yesterday, so we'll have to wait until Monday to call ... the winds have died down some so the piece is just hanging on ...

Happy Saturday!  Snow has started falling and will continue all day! 🙀 Big start to winter season which is not officially here yet.  I don't have any plans to go out!  Let the hibernating begin.  Good day for Christmas decorating, I guess.  

Up, down, up down we go Tootie!  Maybe I will do fewer trips this year since I don't plan to get everything out....we'll see if I stick to "the plan"...😉HO!HO!HO!

I did finish my book in time to drop it off on way to basketball game.  kittyfan, I know you like to read and might like it.  The book is called Theo of Golden by Allen Levi.  I really enjoyed it in spite of some sadness.  It has to do with people, kindness and friendships.

I don't think we bring good luck to the basketball 🏀games.  Second game for us and second loss.  They did win on Tuesday when we were not there..ha!  This is tournament week and regular schedule starts in December.  Still enjoyable to watch.  

Peppermint Creamer sounds good, Tootie, even though I take my coffee black.  It might help my coffee this morning...did not make a good pot today...think I am going to toss it and start over....warm coffee water...😝.

OK, time to stop babbling...I'll check in later with a snow report and decorating update.

Hi friends.....hope your day has gone well.  It has been snowing all day....It seems to be coming to an end!  I think we are at about 8".  

I am done decorating and probably got a few more things out than I had planned.  But....house looks like Christmas except....no tree this year....not doing it.  I do have a small tree on my hearth with an angel.  Short season this year.  Merry enough for DH and myself. 

How did you do, Tootie?  I'm tired!  👋👋 kittyfan.
