Good morning friends ... kittyfan, that water issue could have been a lot worse had DB not been around ... you've mentioned before how people that have issues are at your place ... I'll never understand how a family member can just put someone in a place where they require much more help ... it seems it's all about "let someone else deal with them" ... that's very sad!! ... I bet DB will do a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner!!

walker, glad to see that your Crazy Chicken wasn't horrible ... and I would be willing to bet that you will never mix up recipes again!! 😄... you're right about be limited to what you can bring with you if you fly ... when driving, you can pack and stack those suitcases 😄😂

We ended up putting some of our outdoor decorations up yesterday ... today we'll finish up with the light up ones!! weather will be a sunny 48 degrees!! ... but first, I'm getting my grocery shopping done!!

Happy Monday!  It is a cloudy morning here.  So much so that no peak of sunrise at 6:00. I looked at clock twice to make sure it was 6 and not earlier.  Up and at 'em....time with my friends here! 😊☕️

Good X, kittyfan......I feel the same.  I am thankful everyday for my many blessings.  I agree too with your thoughts, and Tootie's, about people being placed in the wrong care facilities.  The facility is to blame as well for accepting patients that need more care...i.e., memory problems.  Those people can cause serious problems for other residents.  Off my soapbox....🙁.

We got our decorations up outside yesterday.  We have really cut back over the years.  When kids were home it was lights everywhere.  We have one tree out front that has gotten too huge to decorate.  I suggested we have it professionally decorated....ha...just got a look from DH. That's a no...😂.

On with the day.....hope you have a good one.  Basketball season begins ...game tonight...GS team vs. Three Amigos  team....we win either way! 😁

walker, I went to the grocery store this morning and thought of you on the way home ... there was a business truck "Holiday Lights" in someones driveway ...  they were putting lights up on several trees and bushes for someone ... 😄

Have fun at your GS's (all of them 😉😄) basketball game ... that will be a  good game to watch!!

The decorator business is all around. Brother said he had an offer to decorate the outside. He declined.  He has plans for my house. Will see! 😉 

I heard from FHG last week. She said she was sick.  I replied back. Haven't heard from her since. I know she doesn't have family. Not sure if she has plans in place. I think about Cookie just vanishing. And also others in our past.

I saw the marketing lady giving her song and dance. I could see she was simply doing the motions. Brother even commented on the number of new people and some older faces missing. He isn't here that often but he does notice everything.

We'll have another pleasant 51 degree day ... rain moving in tonight and then changing to snow on Wednesday afternoon ... heavy lake effect snow is predicted but I'm hoping that it doesn't hit my area ... we only have to travel to DS's, which is only a 10 minute drive but it's still no fun driving in snow!! 🤞

Happy Tuesday!  A bit rainy now but it is suppose to clear.  I hope so because I have some errands to run.  Oh my gosh...I hear the leaf picker-upper in front of our house.  Wow, they start early!  Finally!

You win some....you lose some....GS's team lost to Three Amigos team..🙁.  Three Amigos sat on our side instead of with friends on other side from their school.  I am sure they'll hear about it today....why were you sitting over there? Ha!  GS's team is new group and new coach so this may be a learning year.  Oh well.  3A's definitely had better team.

Tootie, we have a few homes in our neighborhood that have been professionally decorated.  They do look nice.  I would like to try it but won't happen here.  DH is Mr. DIY guy....surprise, surprise.  Next year our big tree may have to come down.  That's why I wanted to have it "lit up" this year.  

We are suppose to have wintry weather moving in here too in next few days.  We don't have to travel far either for turkey feast... fortunately.

kittyfan, I hope you hear back from FHG and she is feeling better.  I think about many who were with us in past too...cookie being #1 ...but some things we will never know....pleasant memories!  

DD brought me a huge poinsettia plant the other day. Very pretty!  DH is hoping now I will not put up our tree.  Hate to say it but this may be first year it does not go up.  I will get a few decorations up inside but not many.  Friday decision day! 🤔

Good evening

I didn't 💤 💤 💤 well last night. Ended up getting up about 4. Did some laundry 🧺 🧺. Not sure but the washer and dryer were back.  Spent some time on the phone. Did a beneficiary change but it wasn't complete. Need to fix.  Then maintenance came. He was saying they spent a lot of $$$ on the counter. I don't think it is my problem. I did say he took measures to ensure there were no leaks. He said something about some apartments having the reversed plumbing. I don't think 🤔 so.  He did swap it out.  Now brother can come and put things back.  Budget issues aren't my concern. My payment drafts every month .

Oh the pointsettas sound lovely.  For me putting up the tree was the enjoyable part. Putting away not so much.

i know the cousins are close and you had lots to support. 

Brother his DW and the dog were at the house. She hadn't seen the final well almost. Since she hadn't seen the original she didn't realize the change.  Keeping it in the family their son was the architect based on brother 's vision.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, ugh! more sleeping issues ... but glad that you were able to get your laundry done ... (with working washer and dryer! ) ... laughed at maintenance saying they spent a lot of money on your counter ... really not your issue! 😉😄 ... I agree about Christmas, putting up is so much easier/fun than putting away!

walker, I think the poinsettia plant would make a great replacement for a tree (especially if you are not going to be home) ... I don't have very much luck with those plants, I can never keep them looking good! ... Congrats to the 3A's for their win and to your GS for trying ... must have been interesting to cheer!!

Rain today with a high of 54!! and then the snow and wind comes tomorrow!?? I am so sick (already) of the weather people talking about this storm ... ok, we're supposed to get snow ... but they keep changing the amounts and the times it's going to hit us! ... I know they want to keep people on notice but I also think they like to scare people ...

Happy Wednesday!  It is very windy here and temperatures dropping....looks like cold, blustery, snowy days ahead!  I am glad I do not have to go out today.  Good luck with the weather there, Tootie.  Here we go....❄️🌨️☃️🥶

I will spend my day baking.  Since I don't have to bring anything for dinner tomorrow, I am bringing them muffins and/or bread for next morning.  Plus I have a gift for hostess since it is her birthday next day too.  I'm going to try a recipe I have had for long time....Butter Pecan Bread...🤞.  Also, my blueberry muffins ....maybe, if time, might make my Cranberry Nut Bread.  Update tomorrow...😉.

kittyfan, I had to laugh as well on the comment about counters being expensive...TOO BAD...not my problem!  Try putting in some expensive laundry machines that work too. 😂 (i.e. Speed Queen...good for places that get a lot of use.)

Walker your baked goods sound delicious 😋 

Brothers DW called me yesterday when they were at my house.  I could watch on camera while he buzzed around.  He called me this morning. He was heading out to brave the stores. I told him to be prepared. But he insisted on cooking rather than the options.  He will pick me up tomorrow to spend the day.  He told me that he will be flying out for a few days early December he is involved with a company and they have a exhibit at a conference and brother will be their rep. This isn't work for him and I know he will require first class accomodations!  I know his DW has appointments that week.  He has said he needs to keep busy.  Just watching 🏈 isn't his cup of tea,  I know he will take care of my tasks. But on his schedule!

We had cool weather over night. Jackets and hoodies are the order of the day.  Many years ago we had an ice storm 🦃. At the time I was a blood donor.  Got a call for an emergency. I really didn't want to venture out but streets were goodmy blood type bisnt the rarest but close.  My meds don't make me eligible any longer had to pass that torch
