Happy Monday!  I do like waking up to daylight.  But, getting used to early darkness is different.  Oh well, we'll adjust as always.

Then the clock issue....ha....I hear you on the microwave clock, kittyfan.  I have to remind myself after changing time I have to hit AM or PM...who cares..Ha!  Then hit clock button again...Arrggh!  

Tootie, I laughed about Paul Bunyan.  Glad it was a success trimming.  Saw something similar yesterday when I took my walk.  A neighbor at end of street was helping her husband on a ladder.  I came along and said hello.  She just walked away from helping him to talk to me.  He continued what he was doing while we talked.  Finally, I said I better let her go back to her job....your husband needs your help.  He just laughed.  Sure...big help here..she loves to talk.

On with day.....hope you all have a good one.

Happy Tuesday!  Hope it is a nice one in your neighborhood.  We'll have about 60 degrees...👍.  We won't have many more of those.  

🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓....Chicken Report for you, Tootie...haha.

No jinx because there is one chicken-rooster (I say chicken and DH says rooster)....anyway....this guy is determined to drive DH nuts....in meantime, me as well watching DH chase or sprinkle the thing.  It returns almost daily for birdseed.  I keep saying....who cares...let it eat the ground stuff.  I'd rather look at this chicken instead of squirrels.  I just don't care anymore.  Leave it alone!!!  😖

Mon/Tues I designated "catch up days"...a few merry chores downstairs yesterday and today upstairs.....and open a few windows! 👏 So exciting but gotta do what you gotta do! 😉

Chores done...taking a UB so being lazy....need to walk though.  Sun never came out and warmed things up...😟.

Funny thing....earlier I went out to fill the bird feeder.  I had no sooner come in and the chicken-rooster was there!  Do they have radar or what?  I was nice and did not tell DH..ha!

Well, as my mother would say.....1...2...3...UP!  Bye for now....need to check out the neighborhood.

Hello friends ... walker, it sounds like you have no choice with chicken-rooster coming to eat ... do you feed the birds all winter long? I wonder what the chicken-rooster will do then ... I don't know if they come out in snow.

Why does it seem like these "merry chores" are always around? it seems we just take care of one chore and the next one is waiting and then repeat 🤷‍♀️

Our neighbors who moved 6 months ago stopped over for a quick visit ... they had to pick up a package that got delivered to their old house ... I got to meet their new baby girl! so cute and tiny ... and are loving their new house.

I defrosted my mini fridge in our garage today ... it doesn't take long but I told DH I don't know why I didn't think of this when we had the 90 degree days ... it would have been done in minutes! 

Laughing at DM's 1-2-3 UP ... I'll have to give that a try!!

Yes chores just recycle. 

I paid my Amazon account today. Brother has access and has been ordering and ships to the contractor. Said much cheaper than Lowe's. I had t been paying attention and the total was a bit of a shock but he had warned me.  He has excellent taste and gifted me with some lovely furniture pieces.  His DW told me that someone was visiting their condo and asked who the decorator was!!  His hobby was to go to the parade of homes and view all the latest.

I ordered some Lock n' Lock glass dishes on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to get them later last night!! ... fast delivery for a change! ... I had to get rid of my old Corningware casserole dishes, (my grandmothers!) they started to get black pit marks in them and I was afraid to keep using them  ... these new dishes should be a good replacement!

Another 54 degree day ... isn't it nice walker, that we can still open our windows a bit and get so excited?? 😄 (I think because we know what's coming and it may be a while before we can do it again 😉)

Happy Wednesday!  Enjoying every nice day we get here.

You are right about opening the windows, Tootie.  It feels so good ...for now....and then comes the deep freeze.

It usually takes me a week to adjust to time change and sleep patterns being disrupted.  I've been waking up at 5:00 but try to stay in bed until 6:00.  Hope you get more sleep, kittyfan.  

You did get fast delivery, Tootie.  Enjoy your new Lock 'n Lock dishes.  Several years ago L&L sold round porcelain-type bowls with lids.  What made them special was the design around them....flowers with butterflies.  I love them...still as good as new.  I should send message to L&L to bring something like those back only with different sizes.  More people want to switch from plastics.

No chores today....going to meet a friend for lunch so looking forward to it.

Good evening

I watched the weather. We are expecting a front to come in. Temps very cold. Possible frost. I am certain if the predictions are correct my house will have frost. Brother had some shrubs planted but I am sure they will be fine.

Brother called this morning.  We both worked for a large agency.  I knew the lady but not well.  I am thinking we are probably around the same age. She had family take advantage of her and drain her resources. Definitely elder abuse but it is a very unfortunate situation. Brother has copies of my important documents including my birth certificate. Marriage license. Etc. I have a trust which I amended recently.  We went to the bank. Appraisal district etc to file the documents.  Fortunately this isn't his first rodeo having settled his dad s estate and more recently his god mothers. We have an excellent attorney who drew up the amended documents. He did find a beneficiary change which I need to do. So many hoops. We have the same retirement benefits so it makes it easier

I enjoyed feeding the birds but I think I quit when the sealed container I had the food stored in was ravaged.
